Life in colour- Blue

Smell Fresh, Be fresh

It’s a good thing that these brands help us freeing our clothes from dirt and impurities.

How about cleaning our life?

“Life does not use detergent to clean itself” Janine Benyus

what do you do?

Is it possible to detox the mind, soul and our destructive and dangerous thoughts?

My friend, believe me, if I say, you can’t detox entirely, unlike the detergent soap which does its job truthfully and perfectly.

I don’t have any possible solutions.

You only have to find out.

My unasked suggestion

“Simplify your life and eliminate what is not necessary” Unknown

An easier said than done job.

Let us talk about your hair

“Life is not perfect, but your hair can be” Unknown

The above image is that of a Parachute Hair Oil bottle, coloured blue.

It’s advertised as pure coconut oil in India, said to have no added chemicals, scent, additives or preservatives.

Coconut oil is used in India by the majority for applying to the hair.

The oil may not help grow hair, but it sure to keep the hair shining.

Some even say coconut hair oil soothes your mind.

Maybe you can try applying on your head and gently massaging….whenever you are irritated or stressed because of your partner.

I understand that apart from India, some Asian countries also apply coconut oil to the hair.

Do western countries use coconut hair oil?

Maybe readers can help me.

If not oil what is that you use regularly to keep your beautiful hair in condition?

Why do most of the Brands use Blue Colour for their packaging?

My friend it’s because of you, the consumer.

Manufacturers depend on packaging colour psychology.

Different colours influence your emotions.

The blue colour is said to represent honesty, purity and freshness.

Blue also implies tranquil and profound insight.

Thank you.

“There is a world out there. Open a window and it’s there” Robin Williams

Why do you ignore your closed windows?

“One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living.

We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today” Dale Carnegie

When windows are open, as humans how do we behave?

“Two men look out a window. One sees mud, the other sees the stars”  Oscar Wilde

Thoughts Day

Mind & Heart- can they be good friends?

“Your mind can be your enemy or friend.

If you always follow your heart, your mind will feel neglected.

If you follow only your mind, your heart will never forgive you.

Never ignore your conscience, yet always be conscious of reason.

Make your heart and mind friends and you will have peace of mind throughout life’s seasons.”

Suzy Kassem

Is it possible to maintain a good relationship between your mind and your heart?

I doubt.

What happens?

“The difference between your mind and heart,

Your mind tells you what is smart and

Your heart tells you what you are going to do anyway” Unknown

This clearly tells you that if you follow your heart you lose your mind!

And if you follow your mind, your heart goes into attack mode!

Who is the actual winner?

“Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart, rather than a piece of our mind”  Unknown

And the lesson is…

“The struggle between what my mind wants to focus, what my heart is feeling and what my soul is going through is unexplained” Sajida Sheik

All of us are sailing in the same boat!

So just relax and do breathing exercises.

Don’t confuse your mind with these complicated thoughts and thus stress your heart! ❤

Thank you.

Save the trees, breathe easier…

This tree caught my attention as I was making my morning rounds

You can see the photo of our famous, much loved and popular former President, Bharat Ratna Abdul Kalam, the missile man of India.

He advocated to Plant more trees.

His vision was Billion trees for billion people by 2016.

“Trees are my guru. They continue to give unconditionally even when you pelt them with stones to take their fruit, and even if you cut them down. Trees give life. Let’s reciprocate that. Plant more trees.”

A PJ Abdul Kalam

We all celebrate occasions, be birthdays or anniversaries or founder’s day or inaugurations etc. we spend money lavishly. We even pollute the atmosphere.

What is the best one can do to remember the occasion?

“That’s the way I do things when I want to celebrate, I always plant a tree.  Wangari Maathaiy

Have you planted any tree saplings?

Say not, you find no time or live in urban jungles or you have no money.

“Plant a sapling, it costs you nothing but helps you to be alive” Ayan

Thank you.

Bend

“It is easier to ‘bend’ children than to mend adults.”  Vincent Okay Nwachukwu

Are you flexible in your day to day life?

My friend, it is better to be flexible.

“Learn the wisdom of compromise.

For it’s better to bend a little than to break” Janes Well

Why should you compromise?

My friend, again listen to me.

There are situations where it’s better where you compromise and in certain other situations, you need not compromise. You have to decide based on the circumstances.

Compromise is an intelligent way of dealing with things and please remember that we have to live with the people.

Compromise is important in having peace of mind.

Don’t be rigid.

Is compromise always the best solution?

Not necessarily.

A little bargain can always be applied.

Ultimately mutual satisfaction of the parties concerned is important.

But be careful as to the effect of your compromise.

“In any compromise between food and poison, it is only death that can win. In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit.” Ayn Rand

One thing you can’t compromise

“Don’t compromise on your values to please others. Keep your self-respect intact and walk away” Unknown

Facts of Life

We are part of society and we have to live with the society.

Compromise is very essential in the matter of relationship.

Compromise is usually perceived as a sign of weakness, but it’s not always so.

A little bit of understanding in ‘give & take policy’ is always a win-win situation.

But remember Ayn Rand quote- Never compromise between evil and good.

Thank you.

Monday Portrait

“Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter. The sitter is merely the accident, the occasion. It is not he who is revealed by the painter; it is rather the painter who, on the coloured canvas, reveals himself” Oscar Wilde

Thank you.

Can art be Therapy?

Yes, my friend

It’s said to be an ‘expressive therapy’

Art is nothing but self-expression and through this artists can communicate for the betterment of society.

Art is said to have a healing effect on mentally disturbed people.

What is public art?

Public art is encompasses any form of art you see in a public place, large or small, statues, murals, graffiti, gardens, parks, etc. The art should be visible from streets, sidewalks or outdoor public places.

“A wall is a very big weapon. It’s one of the nastiest things you can hit someone with” Banksy

Don’t ask me what is that the above painting conveys… or who is hitting whom!

I can’t answer because I am not an artist.

Let me struggle to find out the answer.

Meanwhile if you get anything from this painting, please let me know.

But I am happy with this art because it’s colourful and I enjoy the colour display and my mind is at peace.

Thank you.

Namaste 🙏🙏🙏
