Water water everywhere

Rain drops

Can we count the number of raindrops?

I know we can’t, but for every rule there is an exception.

In our situation…it’s being a fool.

Fools are unique.

They are capable of anything!

“Arguing with a fool is the easiest way to become one” Unknown

More so when you are boating in the lake or on the vast sea, I don’t think you should worry about counting the raindrops.

Instead of busy counting and becoming a fool, better you start to enjoy the sound, the smell and the beauty of the scenery which is given to you freely by Mother Nature.

Thank you for visiting my site.

Take care, my friend.

“Floods are act of God. But flood losses are largely act of man” Gilbert F White

Water water everywhere

The above image reminded me of our good friend Jez and his Water water everywhere posts.

The above image is that of one of the low lying areas and whenever there are heavy rains, the roads get flooded.

And what else do we as kids do when there is so much water all around?

You can see these two kids enjoying a makeshift boat ride.

The boat was made up of all the crap from the polystyrene boxes.

Almost looked like the boat is ready for the ride!

What a joyous ride!

Is not flooding a man-made?(as per the experts on climate change)

“When we talk of flood control, we usually think of dams and deeper river channels, to impound the waters or hurry their run-off. Yet neither is the ultimate solution, simply because floods are caused by the flow of water downhill. If the hills are wooded, that flow is checked. If there is a swamp at the foot of the hills, the swamp sponges up most of the excess water, restores some of it to the underground water supply and feeds the remainder slowly into the streams. Strip the hills, drain the boglands, and you create flood conditions inevitably. Yet that is what we have been doing for years” Hal Borland

Are we concerned at all?

“I believe water will be the defining crisis of our century — from droughts, storms, and floods to degrading water quality. We’ll see major conflicts over water and the proliferation of water refugees. We inhabit a water planet, and unless we protect, manage, and restore that resource, the future will be a very different place from the one we imagine today” Alexandra Cousteau

Flowing water vs Stagnant water

“Anger is like flowing water; there’s nothing wrong with it as long as you let it flow. Hate is like stagnant water; anger that you denied yourself the freedom to feel, the freedom to flow; water that you gathered in one place and left to forget.

Stagnant water becomes dirty, stinky, disease-ridden, poisonous, deadly; that is your hate. On flowing water travels little paper boats; paper boats of forgiveness.

Allow yourself to feel anger, allow your waters to flow, along with all the paper boats of forgiveness. Be human.”  C.JoyBell C.

Water reflection

Did you ever try to experience the feelings when water ripples touch your feet?

“Even ripples have a rhythm
To feel it, listen to their sound
Tap your feet as they direct
And joy shall abound…”  Neelam Saxena Chandra

Ripples and life

Why unhappiness is noted everywhere?

“What is wrong with enjoying yourself? What is wrong in being happy? If there is anything wrong it is always in your unhappiness, because an unhappy person creates ripples of unhappiness all around him. Be happy!” Rajneesh

Water water everywhere!

“I believe that water is the closest thing to a god we have here on Earth. We are in awe of its power and majestic beauty. We are drawn to it as if it’s a magical, healing force. We gestate in water, are made of water, and need to drink water to live. We are living in water.” Alex Z. Moores

Reflection

“Like water which can clearly mirror the sky and the trees only so long as its surface is undisturbed, the mind can only reflect the true image of the self when it is tranquil and wholly relaxed”  Indra Devi
