Lens Artists Challenge # 178 – you choose

In this photo challenge Tina Schell of Travels and Trifles asking us to post a subject of our own choosing.

Thank you Tina.

Trees are nature’s air conditioners

I admire trees.

My mind is at peace when I am with the trees.

I even forget myself.

We always fail to understand how much trees teach us about ‘life lessons’.

The list is too long but interesting and sadly none has time to read and learn.

And you can check the list on the internet.

“Plant a sapling, it costs you nothing but helps you to be alive” Ayan

Trees

“Trees are great messengers of peace. One of the worst crimes of modern humankind is indiscriminate cutting down of the trees, and forests, in the pursuit of establishing civilization. No wonder, that modern civilized society has everything but peace” Banani Ray

Snow capped mountains

What are my thoughts?

In my part of the world, we never experience snow.

So it’s exciting when I see a snow-capped mountain.

My friend, mountains make us feel alive!

And nothing like spending time with Mother Nature!

And the snow-capped mountain gives me those moments to be in awe of a beautiful world!

I am humbled by its enormous size and height.

I can breath a fresh air.

One forgets all the stressful parts of life in these moments.

“The mountains are calling. I must go” John Muir

Thank you for your visit.

Take care, my friend.

DENTAL FLOSS

“You don’t have to floss all your teeth…Just the ones you want to keep” 😂😂🤣 Unknown

Do you floss your teeth regularly?

My friend, remember to floss your teeth regularly every day.

Don’t give excuses.

Never toss the floss!

Do you know between brushing and flossing, flossing is more important?

I may be harsh here, but do you know what exactly it’s like if you don’t floss?

“It’s the  equivalent of wiping your butt cheeks and skipping the crack” Unknown

What happens if you don’t floss regularly?

  • Bad breath. I need not explain further. People avoid you and are embarrassed 😳 to tell you that you smell pungent.
  • Formation of cavities
  • Tartar builds up and your teeth and gums lose that shine
  • Gun diseases resulting in fall of teeth and you begging the dentist to provide implants for a pleasing face

TISSUE PAPER

“Use paper with care so that our trees don’t become rare Unknown

Can you recollect how Corona Pandemic created a toilet paper shortage?

I think it’s because of rumours and panicky buying, typical human psychology.

Toilet paper and Tissue paper became coveted items.

Definition of the human being by a philosopher

“Humans are the only creature in the world who cut trees, made paper from it and then wrote save trees’  on it” unknown

How to save trees?

Go digital.

Read, write and store documents in digital format.

Do you know?

Recycling of 1 ton of paper

  • Saves 70 trees
  • 60 lbs of air pollution
  • 2 barrels of oil

Jude wants us to shoot our subject from below

This week's assignment - Shoot your subject from below. Looking up will give the illusion of smallness (the viewer). An upwards angle will make the subject seem much more important.

Nature

Time spent amongst trees is never time wasted    unknown

What is nature?

Nature in broad sense, is equivalent to the Natural World, or Material World. “Nature” refers to the phenomena of the physical world, and also to life in general. It ranges in scale from the subatomic to the Cosmic.  Environment.ecology.com

And where is Heaven?

“Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads” Henry David Thoreau

So…

Make your life simple.

We are living in Heaven only.

Mother Earth below and Sky above. What else you need my friend?

Adopt the pace of nature. Her secret is patience. Ralph Waldo Emerson
