Thursday Trios

Indo Saracenic Architecture

Indo Saracenic architecture was used by the British and also by the kingdoms under British rule in India, in the 19th century.

Here the architect is a mixture of Islamic And European designs. A few examples include a combination of Hindu temple architecture.

“Architecture should speak of its time and place, but yearn for timelessness” Frank Gehry

Red goes with everything and red goes with nothing-Chloe Thurlow

“Life always gives us exactly the teacher we need at every moment. This includes every mosquito, every misfortune, every red light, every traffic jam, every obnoxious supervisor (or employee), every illness, every loss, every moment of joy or depression, every addiction, every piece of garbage, every breath. Every moment is the guru” Joko Beck

“I’m in love with red. I think it’s such a passionate colour. Every flag of every country pretty much has red in it. It’s power, there’s no fence sitting with red. Either you love it or you don’t. I think it’s blood and strength and life. I do love red. I love all colours. Great shades of blue, you find them in nature. They’re all magic” Bryan Batt

Thursday Trios

“I want everybody to go jump in the ocean to see for themselves how beautiful it is, how important it is to get acquainted with fish swimming in the ocean, rather than just swimming with lemon slices and butter” Sylvia Earle

Do you know that all your problems can be solved?

Yes, my friend. It’s easy-peasy!

“I got 99 problems and fishing solves all of them.”

Earl Dibbles Jr

And if you are a wise man…

“Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he’ll sit in a boat with a fishing pole and drink beer all day.”

Lorena McCourtney

Thank you.

Curious Crows

“The world is a nest of crows; some caw in praise, some caw in derision. But men should be above the reach of praise and blame”   Sathya Sai Baba

The three crows sitting on the top of the signage.

Wow! I notice these three crows maintaining a perfect physical distancing!

And all the three looking in the same Direction……

What is that they are attracted to?

May be a suitable partner on the other side?

I am not sure.

Any scientific explanation behind this?

Crows are curious to know something and I am curious to know what is that!

Importance of Humans curiosity

“Listen with curiosity. Speak with honesty. Act with integrity. The greatest problem with communication is we don’t listen to understand. We listen to reply. When we listen with curiosity, we don’t listen with the intent to reply. We listen for what’s behind the words.”
Roy T. Bennett

Do Crows teach us anything?

“Crows are about, developing wisdom and power within a group.

Crows are associated with divine law or tribal law with social connection and proper conduct within the community.

In mythology, crows are identified with healing.

Like the raven, a crow is a teacher and a sponsor of magic and shamanism”  Unknown

Thank you.

Downsize

“Someone else is happy with less than what you have ” Unknown

Is it a good idea to downsize everything in our life?

My answer is ‘yes.

Why?

My friend, it’s not about moving to a smaller city or a small town or even a village. It’s not about downsizing your company.

It’s not about living in poverty though you are financially sound.

My friend..it’s all about simplicity.

  • Less stuff
  • Less work
  • Less expense

This equals more money, more time and plenty of joy.

“Most people think they need MORE to succeed; more money, more power, more time, more friends, more fame, more ideas, more prayers, more knowledge. They have never considered that less is actually sufficient.” Michael Bassey Johnson

The more you have…you invite more jealousy, enmity & hatred.

Less is more

  • Less shopping-more outdoors
  • Less clutter-more space
  • Less rush-more slowness
  • Less consuming-more creating
  • Less junk-more real food
  • Less busy work-more impact
  • Less driving-more walking
  • Less noise-more solitude
  • Less focus on the future-more on the present
  • Less work-more play
  • Less worry-more smiles”  Unknown

Thank you.
