Thursday Trios

bamboo-tree

Chinese bamboo tree:

You take a little seed, plant it, water it, and fertilize it for years, and nothing happens. You never notice any thing growing above the ground.

During the fifth year it grows 90 feet tall in just 5 weeks!

Some say it’s just a story and not true.

But it teaches something.

What is it?

Decoration

“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Design is knowing which ones to keep” Scott Adams

The above image is a decorative piece.

If you notice, there are three rounded structures with multiple small pieces of a thin plastic sheet of different shapes.

What is this art piece conveying to you?

I struggled a lot to make out without any success.

It’s OK…I’m not an artist.

My guess is the plastic vessels are used to store water to wash the bus.

But three together… it’s a surprise to me.

Thursday trios

You see the things but ignore the fact that they exist!

You are busy spending Another day in Paradise! (Your paradise)

And so no time to check your surrounding!

I am talking about the thoughts of the public in general.

OK. Let us come to the image

sleeping bed

  • In the image above you can notice three thermos cool boxes of different sizes, supported by irregular-sized stone slabs.
  • Also, an attempt was made to make a uniform surface on the top by arranging a few more wooden planks and an empty gunny sack (jute bag) acting as the bed.
  • If you look closer, there is a local newspaper on the top, which gives a hint that the person is educated and wants to keep aware of things happening in this world.
  • Also notice a broom on the floor indicating that the person is trying his best to keep clean surroundings.
  • You may also observe, a stick on the left side of the image. I guess the stick is used to keep the stray animals at a distance.

Strangely You love to complain that these people are more of a nuisance, forgetting the fact that poverty is a reflection of society.

What did you derive from this description I have given?

I can’t tell on your behalf.

But my guess is as follows.

  • This person is homeless.
  • He is aware of the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • He is well-read.
  • He tries to make the best use of the available things.
  • He doesn’t care what you and I think of him.
  • He knows his limitations.
  • He knows how to get a sound sleep at the end of the day, which you & I lack!
  • Finally- I think he is leading a contented life.
Any Message?

Everybody loves to complain.

Everybody is busy talking about deficiencies.

Everybody is busy lecturing that poverty is a burden on society etc.

But nobody is willing to take responsibility!

“Before you complain about your life, remember someone like you is battling it out with cancer on a hospital bed somewhere.

Someone like you has just lost his/her parents somewhere.

Someone like you roaming on the streets for that one little piece of anything edible.

Until death comes, live each day with gratitude for what you possess instead of complaining what you could have had”  Soumyadeep Dey

Best possible suggestion

I am not joking-in other words I am serious.

“Go 24 hours without complaining (not even once).

Then watch how your life starts changing” Unknown

Please share your thoughts on the ‘HABIT OF COMPLAINING’

Thank you for visiting my site.

Reasons for drinking

✔When you are thirsty or not

“There are two reasons for drinking, one is, when you are thirsty, to cure it; the other, when you are not thirsty, to prevent it” Unknown

✔Having Good days, bad days or normal days

“If something bad happens you drink in an attempt to forget,

If something good happens you drink in order to celebrate, and

if nothing happens you drink to make something happen” Unknown

To spread happiness

“I drink to make other people more interesting” Ernest Hemingway

✔To be worthy

“Worthless people live only to eat and drink. People of worth eat and drink only to live” Unknown

Occasions

“I drink when I have occasion, and sometimes when I have no occasion” Miguel De Cervantes

Special reasons

“The first glass is for myself

The second for my friends

The third for good humour and

The fourth for my enemies” Unknown

What exactly is the feeling after consuming alcohol? Can somebody describe it?

Sure my friend. Why not? Many of the non-drinkers too can enjoy and feel the actual feeling!

“After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were.

After the second, you see things as they are not.

Finally, you see things as they really are, and that is the most horrible thing in the world”  Oscar Wilde

My friend, What is your reason for dirking?

Thank you for visiting my site.

Decorative piece

When I saw this decorative piece, I realized that simplicity is another name for ‘elegance’.

I felt the available space next to the steps was well utilized.

“Luxury to me is not about buying expensive things. It’s about living in a way where you appreciate things” Oscar de la Renta

Many times I come across places where expensive things are stuffed and sadly nobody realizes that the items are really expensive!

What is the reason a decorative piece is liked?

Dear friend, this is a difficult question to answer.

You know pretty well, the saying Beauty in the eyes of the beholder.

But you are also aware of aesthetics.

“There are three responses to a piece of design. Yes, no and wow!

Wow is the one to aim for” Unknown

Ceramic Insulators

The photo challenges for a photographer is an interesting subject.

Those who are taking part in the challenges can develop sharp eyes thanks to the hosts, and their brilliant and many times clever topics.

But for this particular photo challenge, I would have never known about the Electrical Isolator, which is part of an electrical transmission tower, that I daily cross but never showed any interest or even had a lookup…

The Thursday Trios photo challenge made me turn in my head up and lo….there this electrical isolator with 3 ceramic insulators

Lesson learnt

“It isn’t enough to think outside the box. Thinking is passive. Get used to acting outside” Tim Ferriss

Conductors and insulators in our life

“In life, we all need good conductors as well as good insulators.

Good conductors to flow the happiness, calmness and joy in us and

Good insulators to block the sadness, hatred and loneliness in us”

Vikas Vashishtha
