I love it when it rains

And I like this particular quote by Roger Miller

“Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet”.

Oh! These rainy days, just waiting for it to come fast.

In my part of the world, it’s a rainy season (Northeast monsoon).

Northeast monsoon occurs between October 1 and December 31.

India receives rainfall just during 2 seasons

1.75% country’s rainfall is received from the south-west monsoon (June-September)

2.North-east monsoon (October-December), confined just to Southern India.

“Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday” Skylar Grey

If not make use of the next opportunity.

Its’ more fun and can be creative too!

Rain makes everything beautiful!

I am fan of…Water Ripples

Do you love the pattern of the ripple in water?

I love it and  I just go on watching till no more seen.

I feel I get some energy while watching these beautiful patterns as they spread evenly and I wonder when they disappear as to what happened.

“When we focus our energy towards constructing a passionate, meaningful life, we are tossing a pebble into the world, creating a beautiful ripple effect of inspiration. When one person follows a dream, tries something new or takes a daring leap, everyone nearby feels that energy, and before too long they are making their own daring leaps and inspiring yet another circle” Christine Mason Miller

The sound of rain needs no translation

The sound of rain is said to be romantic.

But not all feel the same.

Do you mind my friend, if it’s it’s raining?

Just relax and think calmly.

“You won’t hear better Lullaby than the sound of the rain” Unknown

Why do some hate the rain?

There can be many reasons.

  • If it rains at a stretch for days together without break or Some say rain indicates sadness (I don’t understand how)
  • Many said rains bring diseases since all the harmful insects breed in the stagnant water.
  • A majority said they hate rains especially when they attend a party on an open terrace etc and the whole party mood is ruined.
  • Some get stuck in the traffic, and for those people walking on the side of the road…it’s a nightmare since your clothes can dirty by the splashed water from vehicle users.
  • Some jokingly said it messes up hair and many ladies lamented that the time spent on make-up is a waste!
  • Slippery floors and wet socks
  • Some are scared of lightning and sound of thunder

And the list goes on.

What exactly happens to the people?

My friend, it all depends on the

  • Nature of the people,
  • The mood at the time of rain and
  • Most importantly it depends on what you are doing at that time.

Role of Rains in our lives

Human life is not possible without Water.

My friend let us be thankful for these rains.

I agree with you that it annoys sometimes…but it’s OK.

Let us not be selfish.

Does not rain cause havoc in the form of floods?

Agree, my friend.

But certain things are beyond our control.

We know nothing about what happens in the next second.

So don’t waste your time on negative thinking.

Simply enjoy the rains.

But surprising some get annoyed whenever it rains.

I am sure you are not one of them.

Umbrella

What is common between Human beings & Umbrella ?

“We have one thing in common with umbrellas: We both exist because the rain exists!”

How selfish are We ?

In rainy days we use him, in sunny days we forget him.”

When Debbie Smyth posted this challenge, I was 100% sure that my archive won’t have themes based on the umbrella. Somehow, I could pull a few. Thank you, Debbie Smyth…next time I shall keep, umbrella in my mind.

Countless

Rain drops

Cambridge Dictionary defines Countless as  ‘Very many, or too many to be counted.

Can you count Raindrops ?

I feel we can not count the number of drops as it rains.

More so when you are boating in the lake or on the vast sea,I don’t think it is possible since raindrops are countless.

Instead of busy counting and becoming a fool, better you start to enjoy the sound, the smell and the beauty of the scenery which is given to you freely by Mother Nature.

“Every raindrop that falls is accompanied by an angel, for even a raindrop is a manifestation of being.”  Muhammad

Rain drops

Around us, life bursts with miracles–a glass of water, a ray of sunshine, a leaf, a caterpillar, a flower, laughter, raindrops. If you live in awareness, it is easy to see miracles everywhere. Each human being is a multiplicity of miracles. Eyes that see thousands of colors, shapes, and forms; ears that hear a bee flying or a thunderclap; a brain that ponders a speck of dust as easily as the entire cosmos; a heart that beats in rhythm with the heartbeat of all beings. When we are tired and feel discouraged by life’s daily struggles, we may not notice these miracles, but they are always there.  Nhat Hanh
