Sunday Wisdom

” A sunday well spent brings a week of content”

If ever there was a phrase to live your life by…this is it!

My dear friend, hope your Sunday is going to be fantastic!

Of course in India, we are almost entering the evening phase as you noticed in the above photograph, and the Sun is setting almost hidden by the tree leaves and the orange sky is mesmerizing.

Have a great Sunday!

Thank you.

Thursday Thoughts

“Motherhood is the great mesh in which all human relations are entangled, in which lurk our most elemental assumptions about love and power”  Adrienne Rich

I am unable to follow this quote.

Is this good or bad?

Can Love and Power go together?

Ours is an entangled life?

Somebody controlling somebody?

What are your thoughts on Adrienne Rich’s quote?

Thank you.

Sunday Wisdom

So many toys, so little time

I have a doubt

How many toy cars/toys do kids need?

Can you pamper your child left right and centre?

In every family, we come across countless toys less used or worst not used at all!

Parents fail to realize that more toys mean less play.

Toy cars are kids best and favourite toys.

If a child is surrounded by too many toys, will it give happiness to the child?

Scientists say just 3 to 5 right toys are enough for stimulation and mental development.

It is advised that the baby is allowed to choose and have a say.

But parents should prefer bricks, blocks and many other building toys which are good to improve the growing minds of the kids.

And the best toy for a kid?

“The simplest toy, one which even the youngest child can operate, is called a grandparent” Sam Levenson

Thank you.

Thoughtful Thursday

The photograph below was taken at Mount Floyen, Bergen, Norway.

I found this gentleman busy in many ways.

  • He stopped suddenly in the middle of the staircase (not a good idea-may lose balance)
  • Busy checking his mobile (attention is diverted)
  • At the same time engrossed in scratching his head(must be pondering something)

Wow! what a great observation!!

Congratulations!!

One deserves an award!

Body Language

Can we make out anything from his body language?

How can one know what is in his mind or what is he up to from his body language??

We all know it’s impossible to guess.

But still, we guess.

This is the greatness of human beings.

We don’t know the reality but we start imagining the things which one can call illusions (Unreal)

You can check the above link if you find the time.

Now we have experts, decoding the body language even describing the types of body language etc.

Wow! Hats Off to the human spirit!!

Our regular verbal communications are many times misunderstood by the other party, and imagine interpreting the non-verbal communications!

And we are masters of non-verbal communications!!

“The most important thing in communication is hearing what is not said”   Peter Drucker

Please share your thoughts.

Thank you.

Wednesday Wisdom

Romantic love is a mental illness. But it’s a pleasurable one. Fran Lebowitz

“One look at you I know that I am at home”.

“Come live in my heart and pay no rent”.

”you smile I melt”.

”I don’t care if you are sick. I will kiss you because you are worth catching a cold over”

“I love you, even when you fart in your sleep.

How lovely these words are to hear!!

But then do you believe what all said?

Even you believe this, are you sure, the intensity of love remains the same throughout?

My friend, don’t get fooled by these feelings and emotions.

Do you know the Irony?

You are responsible for not sustaining the love throughout!

Why I am telling you this?

Read this wisdom

“Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don’t know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of withering’s, of tarnishing.” Anais Nin

Thank you.

Quotes by unknown

Why you are unhappy throughout?

Why happiness eludes you?

You know the reason.

You know that ‘Happiness’ is sold as a commodity.

And you are busy chasing or purchasing that ‘happiness’ which is evaporating fast.

My friend the problem with you is that you started analyzing happiness instead of experiencing it.

You should know that happiness is a positive feeling in the form of contentment.

Always you have a tendency to wait for that eluding happiness, instead of living in the present.

What is your definition of happiness?

“People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be”  Abraham Lincoln

Two important things come to my mind.

Either you are envious of others ( because of comparisons) or you forgot the meaning of contentment.

Still, you never attempt to correct yourself.

Besides, you are confused because of the past, present, and future.

“The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see

The past better than it was

The present worse than it is, and

The future less resolved than it will be”

Marcel Pagnol

You alone have the key to your happiness.

Thank you.

Namaste 🙏🙏🙏
