Fallen Tree

A philosophical thought regarding observation vs perception

“If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” Unknown.

Now that the Tree has fallen…

Time for the sawyer to do his job.

Do Trees & Humans suffer equally?

“But there are times when a tree can no longer withstand the pain inflicted on it, and the wind will take pity on that tree and topple it over in a mighty storm. All the other trees who witnessed the evil look down upon the fallen tree with envy. They pray for the day when the wind will end their suffering. I pray for the day when God will end mine”. Julius Lester.

Do you agree with Julius Lester?

Is this his way of comparing ‘wind’ with present-day ‘corona pandemic’?

I don’t know.

You can share your thoughts on this?

Thank you.

One’s Life formula

Life and pain are together as true pals and you can’t separate them.

But you have a choice.

“You can either experience the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The choice is yours.” Unknown

Which one is better?

What are your thoughts on ‘pain’?

I think, Pain is pain always and there is no second thought.

It can hurt us in many ways.

Pain can be physical or psychological

Whether it’s physical or mental…the reasons can be many.

Of all the types of pain one undergoes….you agree with me that ‘LOVE’ literally hurts us. We all experienced this at various stages of our relationships.

Are we not aware that ‘Everybody hurts’?

But God also gives us the strength to come out our pains over time.

Is it possible to see our world without pain?

Now coming to my question…

And you have a choice.

“There are two types of Pain in this world: Pain that hurts you, and Pain that changes you!”   Unknown

Which type of pain is preferable?

I don’t know.

All that is in my mind is.. pain is painful & a pain in the A**

You can help me with a better understanding of which type of pain is better.

My thoughts

“Imagine smiling after a slap in the face. Then think of doing it twenty-four hours a day.”
Markus Zusak

Please follow this and see the difference.

No need to look for any choice as the quote above is crystal clear.

Thank you.

Can this be true?

Love= Pain

But still Love rules the World!!
“If the sun warms up the rain, and the rain puts out the sun. Why does the greatest love become the greatest pain?” Stevie Nicks

Unanswerable question!!

But question begs for an answer….since it is a question.

Thank you

Somebody asked me, is better to be dead than to live a life full of misery?

Hmm….what else can I say?

On a lighter note- none of us know what is likely to be dead!

Life is full of pain & misery. Agreed.

But what is your definition of misery?

Don’t you think being dead is nothing, absolutely nothing and it’s void and nothing matters to anybody including your loved ones (over the time) my friend?

All that I advise you is to count your blessings and stop comparing with others.

The best option I advise you is….to say YES to misery.

“There is something wonderfully bold and liberating about saying YES to our entire imperfect and  messy life” Tara Brach

Thank you.

Pain vs Suffering-Which you prefer?

“Pain is physical; Suffering is mental. Beyond the mind there is no suffering. Pain is essential for the survival of the body, but none compels you to suffer.Suffering is due entirely to clinging or resisting; It’s a sign of our unwillingness to move on, to flow with life” Nisargadatta Maharaj

Pain vs Suffering

Pain vs Suffering

“Pain is inevitable,Suffering is optional” Haruki Murakami

Why don’t we accept the fact that, undergoing pain is part of life ?

Don’t we know that ‘life’ sucks ?

Why we go on complaining ?

We continue to undergo Pain and start imagining that we are victimized. We feel helpless and think we are destined this way.

It’s better for all of us to realize that Life owes us nothing.

But there is a simple solution……….

You can feel the pain but don’t react to it,Just move on.

Pain is Physical

Suffering is mental.

Beyond the mind there is no suffering.

Pain is essential for the survival of the body, but none compels you to suffer.

Suffering is due entirely to clinging or resisting;

It’s a sign of our unwillingness to move on,to flow with life. Nisargadatta Maharaj

What is Money ?

What is money ?

You are not rich until you have things money can’t buy.

It’s a piece of paper that draws the illusion of all mankind.

It can only buy a house-but not home.

It can buy a bed-but not sleep.

It can buy a clock-but not time,

It can buy you a book-but not knowledge.

It can buy you a position-but not respect.

It can buy you a medicine but not health.

It can buy you a blood-but not life.

It can buy, lust, and power-but not love.

It can buy influence-but not truth.

I can go on and on…….

So you see, money is not everything.

It does not buy you happiness,

It often causes pain and suffering……

I tell you all this because I am your friend, and as your friend,I want to take away your pain and suffering….

So send me all your money, and I will suffer for you

Thank you.

Everyone makes mistakes in life, but that doesn’t mean they have to pay for them the rest of their life. Sometimes good people make bad choices. It doesn’t mean they’re bad…it means they’re human!

No one notices your tears.

No one notices your sadness.

No one notices your pain.

But they all notice your mistakes.

tired ?

There are two types of “tired”,I suppose. One is a dire need of Sleep, the other is dire need of Peace

One is ‘physical tiredness’ & and the other is ‘mental tiredness’.

If it is ‘Physical tiredness’ …easy to recover.Just take good rest.

But if the tiredness is because of Mental stress, how are you going to recover ?

Can you give mental peace a chance ? Is it possible ?

It’s easier said than done.

But time is the greatest healer. That is what they say.

Are we not  just finding an escape route just by uttering this ??

There is one phrase which is amazing in sense, one can use it in ‘bad times’ and it makes one happy and the same phrase if used in ‘good times’ it makes one sad.

“This time (moment/situation) will also go away”
