A proverb is a simple truth based on common sense or perceived truth.

Many times, proverbs can confuse you if you don’t use them in a context.

Are proverbs and quotes the same?

Both are different my friend.

A proverb is a wise thought in terms of wisdom in the form of general truth.

Every culture has its own set of proverbs.

Every language has its own proverbs.

The exact meaning cannot be translated appropriately from one language into another language.

A quote is the repetition of someone’s thoughts.

The author of a proverb is unknown whereas most of the quote’s origins are traceable to someone.

Which is superior? Proverb or quote?

I don’t know.

My guess is both are meaningful.

“Proverbs are mental gems, gathered in the diamond districts of the mind” William Rounseville Alger

Adding to further confusion, we have other words like idiom, adage, aphorism and phrase.

I understand that the word ‘Saying’ covers most of these terminology.

Thank you.

Challenge

“Don’t be afraid to fail. Be afraid not to try” Unknown

Life is full of challenges

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

What is your type, my friend?

All of us face challenges in our lives.

Are you ready to face the challenges of life?

I know it’s a hard question because the answer depends on the intensity of the challenge and the type of the challenge and finally the situation you are in.

I know, still, you can face any challenge.

Life is hard, man.

Make the best use of life instead of life making the best use of yourself.

Accept challenges and start pursuing your dreams.

Facing challenges head-on can be fulfilling.

Face the challenges-there is no other go

Yes my friend.

Just see, how we are all facing the corona pandemic in spite of limitations of various kinds.

“When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not yet ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back.” Paulo Coelho.

“There are no great people in this world, only great challenges which ordinary people rise to meet”  William Frederick Halsey JR

What is coming is better than what is gone!

“In winter, play with the snow; in summer, play with the Sun! Do not wait for something to come; everything is already here! In autumn, play with the leaves, in spring, play with the flowers! In summer, don’t wait for the winter; in winter, don’t wait for the summer! Everything is already here, in this present time you live in!” Mehmet Murat

Do you know?

” The meeting of two eternities, the past and future…is precisely the present moment” Henry David Thoreau

OK.What about your mindset?

Can you overcome your mental attitude?

Yes, my friend.

It’s possible.

The simple trick is to make efforts to change your attitude to the events happening outside your control.

Carefully read this quote about the pattern of your mental attitude.

“If you are depressed, you are living in the past, if you are anxious, you are living in the future, if you are at peace, you are living in the present.” Lao Tzu

Just one person around the world

“I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.” Albert Einstein

I was impressed with this gentlemans’ ponytail and also for his enthusiasm in photographing the scenery, moving from place to place.

He was full of energy that made the younger generation ashamed!

I realized that getting old is not an obstacle to continue the passion.

“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.”  Oprah Winfrey

Thank you.

Look on the Bright Side

“The darkest storms are often followed by the most beautiful rainbows. Don’t always run away when a dark cloud forms. It can be the greatest show on earth, much better than anything on Netflix.” Khang Kijarro Nguyen

Life is full of ups and downs

My friend..life is like that only. And you can not change it!

“You have to accept the fact that sometimes you are the pigeon, and sometimes you are the statue”. Claude Chabrol

For ups, you are excited and for downs you are depressed and this is natural.

Instead, why don’t you try to make it a balanced life?

“Life is a balance between what we can control and what we can not. I am learning to live between effort and Surrender” Danielle Orner

Here no excitement or depression, just contentment

You may ask what exactly we are supposed to do?

Yes, I have an answer.

“Life is nothing but a balance between holding on & letting go”.  Rumi

If you are still not sure what Rumi is expressing I shall explain.

My friend, you know that your life constantly sees changes and you can not escape from this, but one thing under your control is how you react and take actions.

By actions I mean, you are in a position to decide either to hold on or letting go.

This principle you can apply to anything in your life that constantly harass you.

Things can include your love, people, friends, your possessions, your habits, emotions and even your desires.

Letting go

Letting go is the most powerful of all and it helps you to gain energy, helps you in healing and you are in a position to concentrate on other useful things in your life.

“Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything—anger, guilt, or possessions—we cannot be free. Thich Nhat Hanh

Thank you.

Good Morning Monday

“Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.“ Groucho Marx

Good morning and Wishing you a blessed Monday.

Thank you

Tuesday Thoughts

“Rangoli resembles life. All you have to do is connect the right dots to make them perfect!!”. Rj Neel

Rangoli is an art form,in which patterns are created on the floor.

Coloured rice or flower petals are used.

Rangoli designs can be simple to elaborate.

It is generally drawn at the entrance of the house.

The tradition is that Rangoli brings good luck and it is drawn early in the morning at the entrance point of the house.

And the best day of your life

“The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own,

No apologies. No excuses,

No one to lean on, rely on or blame.

The gift is yours-

It’s an amazing journey.

And you alone are responsible for the quality of it.

This is the day your life really begins”

Bob Moawad
