Hard to believe our family tree produced so many nuts!

National Almond Day

Do you know that National Almond day is celebrated on February 16 annually?

Almonds are said to be the most heart-healthy nut.

They are rich in protein, fat,  Vitamin E, fibre, magnesium, manganese and are said to lower cholesterol.

Almond is eaten directly or by adding to milk, pasta or butter.

As per the Dietary Guidelines for Americans advised to remember 1-2-3, 1 ounce of almonds (28gms), or about 23 almond nuts, as the daily ideal consumption of Almonds.

One particular downside of eating almonds daily and in large quantities is weight gain.

If you are on medication you must be careful about regular eating since it contains high manganese.

Message

Let us thank the bees first, without their help almonds can’t be produced.

So never kill the bees.

Secondly, let us be grateful to farmers who yield these nutritional nuts.

“Life is a bag of mixed nuts. Reach out and pick one, you’ll never know what you’ll get”  Jessica Keyes

Thank you.

“Everyone has a right to type their own future, simple use the ink of experience and a typewriter of your strengths…I am typing mine…” Musona

Do you remember the typewriter of our Era?

They are the most beautiful gadgets welcoming you in every house and office.

And the sound it makes?

Oh! Those days!

“For most digital-age writers, writing is rewriting. We grope, cut, block, paste, and twitch, panning for gold onscreen by deleting bucket loads of crap. Our analogue ancestors had to polish every line mentally before hammering it out mechanically. Rewrites cost them months, meters of the ink ribbon, and pints of Tippex. Poor sods.” David Mitchel

Old is Gold!

“I had one typewriter for 50 years, but I have bought seven computers in six years. I suppose that’s why Bill Gates is rich, and Underwood is out of business” Andy Rooney

Thank you.

Purr-fect Portrait

“A happy arrangement: many people prefer cats to other people, and many cats prefer people to other cats.” Mason Cooley

Do you love cats?

It’s a strange world.

There is no in-between.

People who love cats do really love them.

And people who really don’t like cats…hate them!

Why they hate…maybe psychology..it’s said cats are mystery souls. Black cats are said to be attached to superstitions. Some compare them to witches or evil omen.

Luckily most of the superstitions are on the positive side.

If you find some time, you can check this link CAT SUPERSTITIONS BY COUNTRY

It’s a belief system.

Cat lovers vs Dog lovers

I am not sure about dog lovers liking felines and cat lovers liking dogs.

But we do come across people who have both cats and dogs in their home and surprisingly these creatures are so friendly with each other…and this kind of friendship can’t be expected among humans!

So much so about love and friendliness among humans!
