Pupa or Chrysalis or Cocoon?

“Understand that the hardest times in life to go through are when you are transforming from one version of yourself to another” Mysticool

PUPA

It’s a life stage of a moth or butterfly or other insects.

Any insect other than a butterfly undergoes metamorphosis into an adult, and the stage before becoming an adult is called a pupa.

CHRYSALIS

The pupa of a butterfly is called a chrysalis.

COCOON

A cocoon is a hard protective outer covering woven by the moth or butterfly to cover the pupa. It attaches the cocoon to a leaf or branch or any surface. The idea is to keep pupa safe from predators.

BUTTERFLY

All of us must have inspiration from the butterfly’s life cycle.

My friend, every stage of the development of the butterfly teaches us beautiful lessons.

Check this link regarding the lessons an insect can teach us- INSPIRATION

“Patience doesn’t mean making a pact with the devil or denial, ignoring our emotions and aspirations. It means being wholeheartedly engaged in the process that’s unfolding, rather than ripping open a budding flower or demanding a caterpillar to hurry up and get that chrysalis stage over with.” Sharon Salzberg.

Thank you.

Close up or Macro

“The moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world itself” Henry Miller

Do you love Macro photography or close up photography?

The results are amazing in both categories, my friend, more so in macro photography.

A dedicated macro lens takes you to another level.

Of course one must be aware the cost involved.

With macro photography, your perspective about Mother Nature changes totally.

And your respect for Nature enhances!

I assure you, you love it, my friend.

“The trick to forgetting the big picture is to look at everything close up” Chuck Palahniuk

Colourless Wings

“The most colorful thing in the world is black and white, it contains all colors and at the same time excludes all.” Vikrmn

I felt something different about this dragonfly.

Every time I come across a dragonfly, I notice its colourful wings.

The dragonfly above showing Black & white wings and a colourful body. Strangely its face & mouth resembling that of a monkey(side post..profile view).

Do you like colourful life or colourless life my friend?

Everybody wishes their lives to be colourful throughout.

But is this possible?

“If you are living a colourless life, it doesn’t matter whether the world is colourful or not!”
Mehmet Murat ildan

Thank you.

Bee happy

Your future generations are a happy lot & grateful to you if you don’t destroy bee population

Why?

“The way humanity manages or mismanages its
nature-based assets, including pollinators, will in
part define our collective future in the 21st century
……The fact is that of the 100 crop species
that provide 90 per cent of the world’s food, over 70 are pollinated by bees.” Achim Steiner

World Bee day 2021

World Bee day is celebrated on May 20 to raise awareness of the importance of pollinators.

Be a Bee saver, my friend.

Spread the message.

Thank you.

Shiny

“Mosquitoes bite you as if they are in some kind of love with you”. M.F. Moonzajer

In the photo above two things catch your attention.

  1. The shining water rainwater droplet on the flower bud, which almost going to drop.
  2. The shining design of the antenna & body of the mosquito.

✔Shining water droplet

Photography of water droplets is an interesting topic.

It’s the refraction of the image through the water droplet that becomes more interesting.

The appearance of the subject resembles that of a fisheye lens view and similar to the image in lens ball photography except the image is upside down.

“True joy of nature is when every drop of water shines like a pearl”  Anamika Mishra

✔The shining antenna of the mosquito

Of course, you all know about the insect’s Antenna.

Antennae are used to feel, smell and often hear.

The antennae of male mosquito are bushy as in the photo above unlike the less hairy antennae of female.

You know pretty well that mosquitoes are not friendly insects.

Diseases caused by mosquitoes

  • Malaria ( World Malaria day is celebrated on April 25 )
  • Filariasis
  • Dengue
  • Zika
  • Encephalitis
  • Chikungunya
  • West Nile
  • Yellow fever

Which is more dangerous-Male mosquito or Female mosquito?

My friend, female mosquitoes are dangerous.

Male mosquitoes don’t need blood for survival. The survive on flower nectar.

We know that human blood tastes ‘salty’ but for the Female mosquitoes, it’s a ‘sweet candy’!

Some Humor quotes on Mosquito

“When you really want to slap someone, do it and say mosquito”  unknown

“If only mosquitoes sucked fat instead of blood”  unknown

“Mosquitoes are like family: they are annoying, but they carry your blood” Unknown

Which is the most hurtful bite?

You don’t believe me if I say….

It’s our hurtful words my friend!

Any Biting lessons?

“Do not bite the hands that feed you and do not feed the mouth that bites you”
Ankala Subbarao

Thank you.

CFFC: Rusty or Decayed

Rusty

“Iron can only be destroyed by rust, and rust is a slow process which is caused by the hydrogen ion from water in the environment. Coat yourself against negative thoughts and be careful what you feed your mind because your mind is your greatest asset, make sure you are not using it against yourself.”
Uzoma Nnadi

Do you know the truth of life?

We are all corrupt knowingly or unknowingly at one time or other!

Not necessarily in money or power matters.

It’s through our soul my friend!

“Everything is destroyed by its own particular vice: the destructive power resides within. Rust destroys iron, moths destroy clothes, the worm eats away the wood; but greatest of all evils is envy, impious habitant of corrupt souls, which ever was, is, and shall be a consuming disease”  Menander

Decayed

“Whenever you see flies or insects in a still life―a wilted petal, a black spot on the apple―the painter is giving you a secret message. He’s telling you that living things don’t last―it’s all temporary. Death in life. That’s why they’re called natures mortes. Maybe you don’t see it at first with all the beauty and bloom, the little speck of rot. But if you look closer―there it is.”
Donna Tartt

Thank you.
