Why do we Judge others ? Do we have the right ?

“Judge not, that ye be not judged”  Matthew 7:1

It’s 2.5 minute read,GO ahead if you have time & inclination.Thank you.

I am not talking about friends & relatives judging us or vice versa.

I am talking about people we come across in our day-to-day life, whom we know nothing about ( unknown to us ).

It is but natural for all of us to judge the other person with an electrifying speed !

How do we judge a person ?

By appearance= Facial-ugly or beautiful ..Body build -fat or thin ?

Body Language ?

By color ? Whether smiled or not ? By hairstyle ?

By Behavior ?   By  person’s dress ? By seeing the tattoos and piercings ?

Is it true that ‘ First impression is the best impression’ ?

And  later on many times we felt sorry that our first impression went horribly wrong!

Then why we jump to judge people ? Do we have any right ?

Probable reasons for rushing to Judgment …..

Is it because of fear of the unknown?

Is it because…I can never go wrong, (mind-set)

Is it because we think we are superior and at the top of pyramid and rest are lesser mortals ?

Is it because ,we are insecure about ourselves?

Are we not lying to ourselves by judging others ?  The answer is ……

“Judge me if you want, but at the end of my life, I choose to have memories not regrets.”  Steve Maraboli

Read this story

A 24-year-old boy seeing out from the train window, shouted…

“Dad look the trees are going behind!”,dad smiled and a young couple sitting nearby, looked at the 24 year old’s childish behavior with pity, suddenly he again exclaimed…”dad,look..the clouds are running with us!”

The couple couldn’t resist and said to the old man…”why don’t you take your son to a good doctor ?”.The old man smiled and said….I did and we are just coming from the hospital,my son was blind from the birth,he just got his eyes today…”

Every single person on the planet has a story.

Don’t judge people before you truly know them. The truth might surprise you.

“Judge tenderly, if you must. There is usually a side you have not heard, a story you know nothing about, and a battle waged that you are not having to fight.” Traci Lea LaRussa11

Judging the other in a flash of second…….I call it blind Judgement.

“Judging others make us blind.where as love is illuminating.By judging others we blind ourselves to our own ( short comings ) and to the grace which others are just as entitled to as we are.” Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Any thoughts you have ? Would you like to share ?

Thank you.

Which face you will wear to day ?

This is a 3 minute read,

“Everyone is a moon, and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody.”Mark Twain

I am not talking of the personality disorder which we come across in the Medical World…..I am talking about the normal, perfect down to earth gentlemen and gentlewomen, who invariably have two faces, sometimes many faces ( multifaceted indeed! )

“Everyone  has two faces but often we see only one side of them,so never judge anyone by their looks, because ,truth might surprise you” !    ‘unknown’

Have you any time seriously gazed your soul ?

I think we are all not just actors but great actors. Some examples,

1.You agree with me that wives hide (secrets) things from husbands, and husbands hide things from wives, but each will be talking to other sweetly and kindly.

2.All Men talk differently when they are with wives, and when the wives are not around.(men there… ..you know what I mean )

3. We preach our kids, but practice quite opposite.

4.Young boys and girls as lovers, constantly lie to each other which suits the situation.

5.We shout at our children and wives for no fault of theirs, but show sweet face to the boss,in spite of getting abused.

6.Married men ,when they come across a single woman, try,to attract her attention, but when wives are with them…it is a different behavior !

7.Our offline behavior is in contrast to our online behavior. You may be a beggar in real life ,but on social media you flaunt all your richness from nowhere !

8. You can see ,Professional child kidnapper/killer is a dedicated father to his kids.

I can go on and on…..

We all wear masks.

Let us be frank. And that is the way of life ! And we have to live that life if we want to survive in this wretched world.

And the worst part, you know…..even with God we play our duality !

“There’s a duality of a guy calling on God: ‘Where are you when I need you’ and the,at the same time .’God helps those who helps themselves.’…I think that contradiction does exist in all of us ,those of faith and those who profess to have no faith.  ‘JoeCornahan’

Now that we realized that all of us have two faces( dual personalities)….now it becomes even more scary.

“It’s not about who’s real to your face,

It’s about who’s real behind your back”   unknown

So be busy checking your back frequently !

And wishing and praying that, let 2019 bring just the single and original face of ours all the time !

Before you Judge me……….

put yourself in someone's shoes,judgmental

“Always put yourself  in other peoples shoes” A well known Idiom

Joke part of the idiom

“Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares?…He is a mile away and you’ve got his shoes”.   Billy Connolly.

Remember the the whole world revolves around the ‘mind set’ and  every thought that crosses your mind is influenced by the ‘PERCEPTION’ which is already settled in your mind that can influence the outcome.

Real part of the Idiom

Is this idea of putting yourself in someone else’s shoes …does this really works all the time ?

For this idiom to work, one must have a through knowledge about three things.1.Empathy. 2.Sympathy and 3. Compassion.

Unless one possesses these three qualities, the idiom does not serve the purpose. The help, what you think you are lending to the needy, need not necessarily be appreciated by the needy since Needy’s perception of your help may be different and sometimes just opposite.

How Putting Yourself in Someone Else’s Shoes May Backfire

“Before you judge me, please give Benefit of doubt, an opportunity”

Past deed

According to Oscar Wilde , the Great Poet & PlayWriter

YkdlQWZYdw-01.jpeg

Do you agree ?

He says, it is the only way to judge the people

Personally I don’t agree.

Don’t you think people should be judged by the present actions and by the results produced by these actions (I mean good or bad),rather than past deeds?

If one looks into one’s past, be one’s childhood, adulthod,or middle age or old age, even centurion…..

One can find that, One is in the continuous learning process as the next second in One’s life becomes one’s immediate past

People can change for the good , as time goes?

Judging someone does not define who they are, it defines who you are

Your past mistakes are nothing but your  experiences ,making you move forward by the realisation of the facts and becoming a better person.                                                                                        ZExnQWFe-01.jpeg                                           Society too should be compassionate and not label the person in negativity forever.
