unexpected focus

“You don’t get results by focusing on results You get results by focusing on the actions that produce results” Mike Hawkins

In the above photograph, I wanted to take a photo of the hanging lampshade but instead, the background green leaves and even the wires got unexpected focus and the lampshade was blurred.

There are more than half a dozen reasons why amateur photographers struggle with focus issues.

Some times professionals also face this problem.

Our day to day life affairs are no different.

Why we lose focus on, what we are supposed to focus on in our day to day lives?

My friend, I am sure you are not surprised by this question because all of us undergo this regularly.

This is happening at the frequent interval because your life is too demanding, hectic and at any given time you are nothing but a multi-tasker.

And your mobile and social media doing no good and your attention is diverted to unnecessary things.

You become highly irritable.

Experts suggest that an average of 60,000-80,000 thoughts occur in a day ( Approximately 2500-3000 thoughts per hour or 40-50 thoughts per minute)

The result?

Unnecessary, unwanted and useless things get focused in your mind.

You become the loser.

Your energies are wasted on unwinnable matters.

No surprise you lose focus.

I understand there is a lot of stress, anxiety, tensions and feelings.

What to do?

My dear friend, there is a formula.

Focus on what you can control, leave what you can’t.

“Incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over instead of craving control over what you don’t.” Steve Maraboli

Focusing on what you can control requires a lot of discipline.

Are you a disciplined person?

I doubt because we all sail in the same boat. Be frank.

My thoughts

✔Have a positive attitude

✔Focus on the present moment

✔Concentrate first on the most important thing, and one at a time

✔Always have plan B, so that you don’t get shocked

Thank you.

In Focus or Out of focus ?

“You can’t depend on your eyes if your imagination is out of focus”  Mark Twain

Life is like a camera

Focus on what is important

Capture the good times

Develop from the negatives

And if things don’t work out

Just take another shot
