Time is what you make of it

“A man’s got two shots for jewellery: a wedding ring and a watch. The watch is a lot easier to get on and off than a wedding ring” John Mayer

What exactly is a ‘waste of time’

These are the things which you love doing at the cost of your life, which unfortunately don’t add any value to your life or other’s life.

Who decides?

None can decide.

How much time do you spend enjoying or wasting?

A million-dollar question.

I have no answer.

I guess that it is left to the discretion of the individual concerned.

How do humans behave in the matters of ‘time spending’?

My friend, humans always amaze the other humans!

Did not somebody tell you not to waste your time when you are enjoying your best?

Defining what constitutes a ‘waste of time’ is highly subjective.

I am aware of one wasting own time. Can others waste your time?

I doubt.

It all depends on one’s priorities.

What you think that somebody is wasting valuable time of their or yours depends both on you and the other person if you are facing each other physically.

Ultimately one of you should decide enough is enough.

We are all guilty of wasting time

I am not talking about TV, Social media, YouTube, emails, or chats, since I don’t wish to waste your time since you are already indulging in this kind of stuff.

I shall tell you 5 things and I am confident you agree with me.

1. Worries

My friend worrying is the worst culprit in eating away your time

“Worrying does not take away tomorrow’s troubles. It takes away to day’s peace” Unknown

2.Gossiping

Gossiping serves you nothing except you invite more enemies.

“Gossip is Devi’s telephone. Best to just hang up” Moira Rose

3. Comparing yourself to others

This can be both good and bad but mostly leads to self-destruction.

Yes, you can always compare but with a condition.

What is that condition?

“The only person you should try to be better than is who you were yesterday” Unknown

4. Complaining

Don’t complain or whine.

My friend, nothing is under your control. Things can go wrong even in the best hands. Remember you are always at the mercy of some unknown but protecting hands.

If you are not happy with the way things are, then go to the places where things are as per your wish.

“What you’re supposed to do when you don’t like a thing is change it. If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it. Don’t complain” Maya Angelou

To be frank with you, people are happy if you complain more and more.

5. Waiting for something to happen

My friend miracles don’t happen to you every day.

Go out and do something.

“Life is about making something happen, and not waiting for something to happen” Kushandwizdom

“The same boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It’s what you are made of, not the circumstances”   unknown

Agree about this quote.

But in general what we are made up of?

We are made up of our mentality.

What is our mentality?

You know my friend. Don’t pretend.

We all love complaining.

“There will always be something to complain about. But you have a choice.

You can complain about things you can’t control or you can control what you can control and let go of what you can’t.

You can focus on your problems or focus on getting better.

You can look for an excuse or you a look within and find your best”  Jon Gordon

Are you confused between complaining and criticizing?

No need my friend.

Complaining is an act of expression of dissatisfaction. You tend to vent your negative emotions, though you are aware that nothing can be achieved.

Criticism is associated with judgment. Better if it is done positively.

What happens if you are a chronic complainer?

Simple, either you spoil your health because of tensions you create or you get a bad name in the society.

“Complaints are like the clouds that produce no rain no matter how thick they gather. Never depend on your complaint thinking they are staircases. Drop that thing.”  Israelmore Ayivor

Stop complaining and whining.

Start enjoying your life, since nothing is under your control!

Thank you.

Namaste 🙏🙏🙏
