Life in colour- Blue

Smell Fresh, Be fresh

It’s a good thing that these brands help us freeing our clothes from dirt and impurities.

How about cleaning our life?

“Life does not use detergent to clean itself” Janine Benyus

what do you do?

Is it possible to detox the mind, soul and our destructive and dangerous thoughts?

My friend, believe me, if I say, you can’t detox entirely, unlike the detergent soap which does its job truthfully and perfectly.

I don’t have any possible solutions.

You only have to find out.

My unasked suggestion

“Simplify your life and eliminate what is not necessary” Unknown

An easier said than done job.

Let us talk about your hair

“Life is not perfect, but your hair can be” Unknown

The above image is that of a Parachute Hair Oil bottle, coloured blue.

It’s advertised as pure coconut oil in India, said to have no added chemicals, scent, additives or preservatives.

Coconut oil is used in India by the majority for applying to the hair.

The oil may not help grow hair, but it sure to keep the hair shining.

Some even say coconut hair oil soothes your mind.

Maybe you can try applying on your head and gently massaging….whenever you are irritated or stressed because of your partner.

I understand that apart from India, some Asian countries also apply coconut oil to the hair.

Do western countries use coconut hair oil?

Maybe readers can help me.

If not oil what is that you use regularly to keep your beautiful hair in condition?

Why do most of the Brands use Blue Colour for their packaging?

My friend it’s because of you, the consumer.

Manufacturers depend on packaging colour psychology.

Different colours influence your emotions.

The blue colour is said to represent honesty, purity and freshness.

Blue also implies tranquil and profound insight.

Thank you.

It’s time to hit the road with my beauty

Have you seen the child’s face, when it’s is excited while playing with toys?

Excitement and enthusiasm are great to see in any child for that matter.

It’s fun always to watch small kids playing with the toys and their imagination at its peak!

I always wish to go back into my childhood and sadly that’s impossible.

Toys are children’s world and play is their language”   Garry L Landreth

Do you know the simplest toy in this world?

“The simplest toy, one which even the youngest child can operate, is called a grandparent”  Sam Levenson

“A lamp does not speak., It introduces itself…through its light. Achievers never expose…themselves. But their achievements expose…them”  Unknown

Hindu Puja Room

Typical Hindu Puja room for a small family. You can notice a few sliver and brass lamps.

What is puja room?

The puja room is an intrinsic part of every Hindu household.

The puja room is the room, where family deities, idols, religious texts are kept and exclusively used for prayers.

It’s a sacred room with positive energy radiating to the other rooms.

As far as the Idols or frames of the deities (Hindu Gods are too many) concerned, the preference goes with the family tradition.

Every family selects one Ishta Devata, depending on that family’s particular tradition.

Ishta Devata is the chosen and beloved Deity of the family for centuries and the Puja room will have most of the images of this particular Deity.

Diya

“Faith is the fire that light the flames.” Lailah Gifty Akita

A lamp is lit and the Lord is worshipped every day in the morning and the evening in the puja room in front of the deity.

This lamp is known as DIYA, commonly made from clay

Diya lamps are also made of silver, gold or brass.

We tend to be selfish most of the times and Diya keeps us reminding us about being helpful to others especially those in needy.

“Be Diya in someone’s life, and keep the flame burning”  Unknown

Significance of Diya

The oil in Diya symbolizes dirt in the mind.

The cotton symbolizes self or soul.

Diya presents a light when oil is burnt by the wick. Hence lighting of diyas signifies that one needs to get rid of selfish and materialistic thoughts. This frees one from all sadness, leading to enlightenment.

Meaning:

I pay my salutation (namaskara) to the light/lamp which brings auspiciousness; prosperity, good health, abundance of money and wealth, and the destruction of the intellect’s enemy. The light of the lamp represents the Supreme Brahman as well as Janardhana (Vishnu), let the light absolve the sins, I pay my salutations to this light/lamp.
