Welcome to the missing seat!

“When we look at an empty chair and say ‘the chair is empty’, the ’emptiness’ gets angry because the chair is actually not empty, the ’emptiness’ is sitting there!” Mehmet Murat ildan

It amazed me to see this chair

Is this a missing seat or an empty chair?

Why it’s kept?

What is the idea behind it?

Is somebody trying to make a fool of us?

Does somebody want to send us a message?

What type of message?

I am not sure.

In this type of situation, what one can do best?

“There is something much better than sitting on an empty chair and that is to watch it and to let it inspire you to think deeply!”
Mehmet Murat ildan

Is emptiness important in our life?

Yes.

My friend, we require emptiness for us so that we can fill it up with what we wish to possess.

But western & eastern philosophies have opposite views

Yes, while the western world sees emptiness as negative (Depression/Nihilism) resulting in anxiety.

The eastern world thinks of it as a positive aspect of life.

According to Lao Tzu,

He gives examples of the Center hole in a Wheel, the Emptiness of a pot and the Empty space in a house.

Because there is an emptiness in these situations, things become valuable.

“We join spokes together in a wheel, but it is the centre hole that makes the wagon move. We shape clay into a pot, but it is the emptiness inside that holds whatever we want. We hammer wood for a house, but it is the inner space that makes it livable.”

Thank you.

Your Path

“Finding your path is part of your path”   Carlos Gershenson

Can you answer this?

“Does the walker choose the path, or the path the walker?”
Garth Nix

I know, you are taking time to answer. It’s OK.

None can answer.

Can we expect a correct path in our life?

No way my friend!

It’s impossible to define what exactly constitutes your path.

“There is no one correct path in life.

Everyone has their own unique journey.

A path that is right for someone else won’t necessarily be a path that’s right for you.

And that is OK.

Your journey is not right or wrong or good or bad.

It’s just different”    Daniel Koepke

Fences and Gates

Beyond Obstacles

“Everybody has barriers and obstacles. If you look at them as containing fences that don’t allow you to advance, then you’re going to be a failure. If you look at them as hurdles that strengthen you each time you go over one, then you’re going to be a success”    Benjamin Carson

In the above photograph, you notice that the goats trying their best to eat the juicy flowers and leaves on the other side of the fence, which is specially made to avoid these kinds of situations.

But the goats have a resolve and they are doing their best.

If goats can do it, why can’t we?.  Something to learn from the goats?…

Food for thought.

A fence of a Different Kind

“All of us are like locks. No matter how strong the bolt, there’s always a key out there that opens it.” Jonathan Kellerman

The very thought of Lock & Key reminded me of a lovely quote.

“Imagine any problem you have to be a huge, locked door standing in front of you. Now see yourself taking a golden key out of your pocket. You brought the key here with you when you arrived on this planet, but you sometimes forget to use it. See yourself putting it into the keyhole, then watch the door swing open. On the key are inscribed these words, “Unconditional Love.”   Marianne Williamson

Shadows & Reflections

Shadows

All of us, humans have shadows within us. This is the part we try to hide from others and even from oneself.

Only the shade of shadow differs from being a simple shadow to a dark side of the soul as good as holding deep dark secrets. Either you can own it or deny it. It’s up to you.

Strangely the same shadows can help you and brighten up your life, once you recognize the negative aspects.

Shadow

“It’s part of what we call the Shadow, all the dark parts of us we can’t face. It’s the thing that, if we don’t deal with it, eventually poisons our lives.”  Michael Gruber

Reflections

“People of the world don’t look at themselves, and so they blame one another”.

Rumi

reflection

“Be plain as water, be deep as sea, reflect like mirror, honest as truth, you will seek your destiny as pure desires in your heart.” Anand Sharma
