“Better to be a free dog than a caged lion” Arabian Proverb
For a moment think of your feelings if you are caged.
And if caged forever?
Do you have any idea what bird’s or animal’s feelings when they are caged?
The first thing is they must be wondering whether they will be in the cage forever.
Secondly, they must be wondering when they are going to be killed and eaten.
So throughout.. they are in a state of anxiety.
I know what you are thinking
You are anxious to question… what about many birds singing even when they are in a cage or zoo animals enjoying free dinner and lunch without spending energy as they do in hunting!
My friend read this Gem.
“We think caged birds sing when indeed they cry”. John Webster
Now read this one about animals.
‘Within the prison walls of every zoo sit tortured souls, with empty eyes and broken spirits” Unknown
And some think if at all animals are living it’s because of zoos. Being protected from poachers.
“People forget the good that zoos do. If it weren’t for zoos, we would have so many species that would be extinct today” Betty White
And your thoughts?
How do we differ from God?
“God loved the birds and invented trees. Man loved the birds and invented cages” Jacques Deval
Now coming to our ‘life’ part
Are we free or are we caged?
I am not talking about politics.
The answer is simple. Think Philosophically.
“Sometimes life seems like a poorly designed cage, within which man has been sentenced to be free” Sheldon B Copp
Yes, we are all disappointed at the way, our beloved life treats us. But remember God has provided us with a unique power, known as resilience.
And we live in our hopes, as the poor Coronavirus has realised by experiencing our resilience.
Please share your thoughts.
