Politeness Is The Flower Of Humanity

“Life is difficult, but I get in a good mood by looking at the flowers” unknown

“Politeness Is The Flower Of Humanity” Joseph Joubert

The very term ‘politeness’ is thought-provoking.

Is it a pretension?

Do we overact many times to give a feeling that we are polite?

Why some people are indifferent even though you are polite?

Can’t we be what we are?

The more I try to find out the answer the more I am getting questions!!

Please share your thoughts.

Thank you for visiting my site and taking your time to read.

Take care, my friend.

A slice of a good life

“There are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread.” Mahatma Gandhi

Bread is the simplest form of food.

Bread is a staple food.

There are more than 30 varieties of bread in the world.

Sadly we take bread for granted all the time

These days we are not giving much importance and respect to the bread-which it is supposed to command!

We forget that bread is a basic food worldwide

Bread plays an important role in religious rituals and cultural life.

Food riots are scary things and can start with a bread shortage.

It’s said bread shortage has ignited the French Revolution.

Bread is prepared from a dough of flour and water. And we waste water just like that.

Are you aware of the Egyptian proverb?

“Rather a piece of bread with a happy heart than wealth with grief.” Egyptian Proverb

The real King

“Bread is the king of the table and all else is merely the court that surrounds the king. The countries are the soup, the meat, the vegetables, the salad, but bread is king.”  Louis Bromfield

Can Bread be a Delicacy?

Yes. It is.

“Malta is the only country in the world where the local delicacy is the bread.”  Alan Coren

What about people wasting food?

Less said better.

In India, there is significant wastage of food during wedding times. India’s estimated 10 million weddings per year said to waste almost 30% of the food.

I am not sure about food being wasted in other countries.

“Throwing away food is like stealing from the table of those who are poor and hungry”  Pope Francis

Om Ma Ni Pad Me Hum

The six-word Mantra ‘Om Ma Ni Pad Me Hum’ is important in Tibet, recited by the Buddhists.

According to H.H DALAI LAMA, this Mantra has the power to transform your impure body, speech and mind into pure mind, body and speech of Buddha

Speaking the mantra aloud or silently, spinning prayer wheels with the mantra, and carving the mantra into stones are the usual practices. Source-Balilivingimports.com

The actual translation from Sanskrit to English is difficult since the meaning of the mantra can not be conveyed fully. Roughly it translates into

“Hail the jewel in the Lotus”

Om Cleanses away the pride.Om helps to cultivate kindness & Generosity.

Ma-Ni It is associated with dissolving jealousy and one can escape attachment to worldly pleasures.

Pad-Me this syllable dissolves our attachments to many prejudices, also one comes out of the habit os possessiveness.

Hum this syllable helps our feelings from falling prey to aggression & hatred.

Women are more intelligent than men

“I would like to be known as an intelligent woman, a courageous woman, a loving woman, a woman who teaches by being”   Maya Angelou

On a humorous note

“Why do men like intelligent women? Because opposites attract.” Kathy Lette

“Women are smarter than men, but most men are too stupid to realize it, which only proves the point”  unknown

Ok, But what happens?

The following quote is attributed to Albert Einstein.

“Women always worry about the things that men forget; men always worry about the things women remember”

And the greatness of women is…

“When women do better, economies do better”  Christine Lagarde-IMF

And the power of women…

“Women have a unique power of being able to look at the world’s problems and discover the solutions that transform lives and makes the world a better place”  Dr.Ayanna Howard

What did William Golding, British novelist, playwright, and poet say?

I think women are foolish to pretend they are equal to men. They are far superior and always have been.

Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater!

If you give her sperm, she will give you a baby. If you give her a house, she will give a home. If you give her groceries, she will give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she will give her heart.

She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. so if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of shit

Thank you.

We need to save the trees!

“Imagine if the trees gave off Wifi signals,we would be planting so many trees and we’d save the planet too….Too bad they only produce oxygen we breath”  unknown   Read further…

“They kill good trees to put out bad newspapers.” James G. Watt

Thankfully in the above photo, some part of the tree was preserved and one can note how the life is springing back!!

“Trees are the lungs of the world-Don’t cut trees-They provide us oxygen and clean air and help us breath”  Nelda.org

“If we’re destroying our trees and destroying our environment and hurting animals and hurting one another and all that stuff, there’s got to be a very powerful energy to fight that. I think we need more love in the world. We need more kindness, more compassion, more joy, more laughter. I definitely want to contribute to that.     Ellen DeGeneres

“If I were a tree, I would have no reason to love a human.”     Maggie Stiefvater

Laugh all day for no reason

Laughter is the best medicine

“Always laugh when you can, it is cheap medicine.” Lord Byron

This is the common advice given by Modern Gurus and Pundits.

Normally we laugh if we find something that is funny.

When we laugh…it becomes a sign of happiness.

Here we must differentiate intentional laugh and unintentional laugh.

If you laugh for no reason and that too all the time of the day……then you may be called MAD!

When you are faced with a sad situation, should you cry or laugh?

Do you think intentional laugh as in ‘Laughter Yoga’ is debatable?

‘Laughter yoga’ is a modern day exercise involving prolonged voluntary laughter.

Check this 60 seconds clip and you can understand better.

✔Can you be laughing all day irrespective of the happenings around you?

✔Can you laugh without a joke or looking at memes or cartoons?

✔Sitcoms and stand up comedies can help you to laugh to the extent, the program runs. Afterward?

You realize that your stressful life stares at you!

Of course, we all know that laughter brings down our stress levels and improves the immune system and my point is one can’t force on themselves to laugh.

Laughter has to be spontaneous from the bottom of the heart.

But there are certain diseases which can cause emotional outbursts without any reason.

Here the cause is unknown.

It’s a kind of seizure, involving a sudden burst of energy, in the form of laughing or crying.

In this condition,we know the reason for the emotional outburst.

The people who had a brain injury or other neurological diseases, (Alzheimer’s, Multiple Sclerosis) can develop uncontrollable emotional outbursts in the form of laughing or crying.

It’s hard to stop these outbursts which are not connected to the moods, which may even be inappropriate to the event.

  1. Unintentional humor and laughter are natural, spontaneous and innocent.
  2. Keep smiling. We know that smile is contagious and everybody around you start smiling creating a happy mood.
  3. Try to spend time with joyful people.
  4. Count your blessings and laugh yourself.
  5. Since you ain’t in control everything in your life, try to have a positive attitude.

I shall give you two quotes. Please let me know which is more appropriate?

“We don’t laugh because we are happy, we are happy because we laugh”. Unknown

“Laughing is the best medicine unless you are laughing for no reason….then you need medicine”. Unknown

“No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin or his back ground or religion.People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite”   Nelson Mandela
