Sunday Thoughts

Lazy-Sunday

we are not lazy-We are in power saving mode

Lazy Sunday💤

Whenever you are nearing the weekend, there is an excitement in the air!

More so on Sunday.

Since Sunday is a fixed holiday in the majority of the countries, the mindset starts overacting.

You become lazy, lethargic and sleep the whole Sunday or spend time on social media which is most toxic to your health.

Are you aware of two forms of time?

There are two forms of time

  1. Psychological time
  2. Clock time

Psychological time is the preoccupation with your known past and unknown future. This psychological time robs you of your happiness forever since you ignore living in the ‘present’.

Clock time– This time is used almost for practical purposes. Clock time is always tied to how you act in the present. This is related to your daily activities. Here you are present fully in the ‘clock time’ and able to set your goals.

What is to be done?

“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, nor to worry about the future, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly.” Bukkyo Dendo Kyokai, The teachings of Buddha

So the  ‘present time’ is your real-time and your ‘past and future time’ are nothing but an illusion

Don’t ‘die’ by ‘living’ in an illusion

Message

“The future depends on what we do in the present” Mahatma Gandhi

Hence my friend-don’t waste your Sunday!

Make the best use of it- whatever you wish and plan.

Remember the quality of your future depends on what you plan in the present time.

The more you are in the ‘present time’ AKA ‘Clock Time’,  healthier the outcome of your future.

Don’t dream of the future but make today’s dream a possibility by living and taking actions wholeheartedly in the ‘present time’

Photographing Public Art

‘Public art encompasses any form of art you see in a public place, large or small, statues, murals, graffiti, gardens, parks, etc. The art should be visible from streets, sidewalks, or outdoor public places. Let your imagination and photographic eye show us diverse samples all over the world’. PPAC

Horns

Natural Horns

What is life?

Life is full of fun my friend.

There is no such thing called ‘crying’!

Laugh because it’s unpredictable!

“All the fun is locking horn with impossibilities” Claes Oldenburg

Artificial Horns

horns

We make our self comfortable by copying Mother Nature and thinking that we are on par with mother nature and we pat ourselves!

Can we replace Nature’s beauty?

My friend, technology is no replacement for Mother Nature.

Don’t forget, we are experts in faking everything including the sacred ‘Love’

Life in colour- Blackbird

Black Bird

Do you love blackbirds?

What kind of stupid question is this?

I love all the creations of God.

First of all, why should you bring out all sorts of negative thinking?

Looks like you are obsessed with negative talking…I hate, I don’t like, stupid, s**t etc.

Why do you invite negative energy?

Why don’t you simply admire the beauty of Mother Nature who 24 x 7 hours entertaining you freely with Her varieties of colour, shape and size?

What is the name of the bird in the image above?

I guess the above bird is a rook.

When you watch these blackbirds, every time you get confused between rook, crow or raven.

It’s nice to know the differences but who has time?

Simply you move on…by saying just another blackbird!

My friend we gain extra knowledge by knowing something about our surroundings, birds habitat etc.

We all need basic general knowledge and that is more than enough.

Nobody is pressurising you to tell each and every detail.

Yet Humans think they are superior

Many times you act smart, believing that you know everything.

You even try to be over smart than the specialists in that particular subject.

Why you are arrogant?

“The only true wisdom is knowing you know nothing” Socrates

Let us be humble.

Shiny

“People who shine from within don’t need spotlight” Unknown

The above click is that of a shining stainless steel plate facing the balcony grill resulting in the reflection of the green garden trees.

We all wish to shine in our lives

Don’t you agree?

To achieve this, do you start comparing yourself with others?

My friend, never do this

Life is too short.

You are unique.

You always shine from within whether others notice or not and no need to hurry up to bring out the shine. It will come automatically.

“There is never a need to worry that someone will outshine us. It’s not a competition. We all need to shine brightest in our own unique way. It’s not possible for there to be too much light in this world. Shine … and let shine” Unknown

Criticism

“Never explain, never retract, never apologize. Just get the thing done and let them howl” Nellie McClung

You have a love-hate relationship with criticism.

You do not love criticism because it can hurt you.

You may think it’s an unfair criticism but nothing you can do about it.

You enjoy most if you are praised whether you deserve it or not.

You may listen to or even love others if they claim it’s constructive criticism.

I think constructive criticism is a nicer way of criticism without hurting the feelings of the person.

Is there such thing called constructive criticism??

I doubt.

Strictly speaking, criticism is criticism.

Read this quote

“There is nothing constructive about criticism… it’s always negative! Uplifting advice, on the other hand, is a rare thing of beauty!”
 AJ Vosse

Please share your views as to why you hate criticism of any kind.

Thank you for visiting my site.

DENTAL FLOSS

“You don’t have to floss all your teeth…Just the ones you want to keep” 😂😂🤣 Unknown

Do you floss your teeth regularly?

My friend, remember to floss your teeth regularly every day.

Don’t give excuses.

Never toss the floss!

Do you know between brushing and flossing, flossing is more important?

I may be harsh here, but do you know what exactly it’s like if you don’t floss?

“It’s the  equivalent of wiping your butt cheeks and skipping the crack” Unknown

What happens if you don’t floss regularly?

  • Bad breath. I need not explain further. People avoid you and are embarrassed 😳 to tell you that you smell pungent.
  • Formation of cavities
  • Tartar builds up and your teeth and gums lose that shine
  • Gun diseases resulting in fall of teeth and you begging the dentist to provide implants for a pleasing face

TISSUE PAPER

“Use paper with care so that our trees don’t become rare Unknown

Can you recollect how Corona Pandemic created a toilet paper shortage?

I think it’s because of rumours and panicky buying, typical human psychology.

Toilet paper and Tissue paper became coveted items.

Definition of the human being by a philosopher

“Humans are the only creature in the world who cut trees, made paper from it and then wrote save trees’  on it” unknown

How to save trees?

Go digital.

Read, write and store documents in digital format.

Do you know?

Recycling of 1 ton of paper

  • Saves 70 trees
  • 60 lbs of air pollution
  • 2 barrels of oil

Akimbo

I have never come across the word ‘Akimbo’ till now.

Thanks to WP in general and Ragtag Daily Prompt in particular, I am learning something new regularly.

Thank you Brian of Bushboys Fame

What is Akimbo?

Akimbo

“Your body communicates as well as your mouth. Don’t contradict yourself” Allen Ruddock

It describes a particular position of the body rather sort of body language.

In this position, the hands are positioned on the hips and both elbows are bent outwards with arms.

This is a posture that communicates

  • Defiance
  • Confidence
  • Aggressiveness or
  • Arrogance

(Merriam Webster)

I am not sure what the above person intends to send the message to others.

As per the definition of Akimbo- this person in the above image- is supposed to convey defiance, confidence, aggressiveness or arrogance.

Do you think he is conveying any one of these expressions?

What are your thoughts?

I felt he is conveying nothing of those described in Akimbo, rather sad or confused as opposed to our definition.

And so much is about the study of body language by the experts.

Here the definition suits the body posture of the person but not the expression or body language supposed to convey.

Feel free to share your thoughts.

The above image is from my mobile. Apologies for the resolution.

Thank you for visiting my site.

Take care, my friend.

Namaste 🙏🙏🙏
