If you notice the image above the paper is crushed.
Why some people are in the habit of crushing the paper and throwing them?
I am not sure what is the exact reason.
But I can guess a few reasons.
It can be due to frustration or habit.
This behaviour can also arise from anger, nervousness or impatience.
Some people do this as stress relief or to overcome boredom.
What are my thoughts?
My best opinion is that most people crush the paper before throwing it away because they are indecisive as to what to do with all the thoughts racing through their heads while they write on the page.
“Indecisiveness wears a person out.” E L Konigsburg
I am depressed about this behaviour of indecisiveness.
Why?
You know pretty well that paper is produced from trees (wood pulp), and already the tree population is dwindling and I need not elaborate on its effect on climate change.
Hence one should behave more responsibly and reduce wastage.
OK.
Now coming to decision making, how much time you need to take a decision?
Decision-making in our lives
“If you obsess over whether you are making the right decision, you are basically
assuming that the universe will reward you for one thing and punish you for another.
The universe has no fixed agenda.
Once you make any decision, the universe works around that decision.
There is no right or wrong…”

I dont tend to scrunch up paper. I’ll tear it up before putting it into recycling … or if old it up

Interesting question. I am not a paper crusher. Sometimes I will fold it or tear it to insure it is being designated as discarded. I guess I like to see the paper lie flat in the recycle bin!

That is the proper way I guess.
I wish recycle bins are provided everywhere.

I usually tear up paper and put it in recyclables.
Always wise words from Deepak Chopra.
