Do you love music?
My guess is most of us love music.
Yet there may be some souls, that hate music of any kind.
Is it abnormal?
It is not abnormal.
Everyone, including you and me, is ‘unique’.
There can be many reasons.
- These people may hate music if it is associated with a traumatic event.
- Some may not like music because of their sensitive sensory system, they may not like loud or fast-paced music.
- What about the role of religion? Certain religious or cultural beliefs forbid the use of music.
- People who are depressed in life may not show interest in the music.
Are you aware of the word Anhedonia?
It’s the inability to feel or experience pleasure.
Anhedonia is said to be associated with different mental disorders.
The general opinion about music
Music is said to ‘enliven’ us. Is it not so?
- Music activates the network of the brain
- It’s said that music keeps your brain young
- Irrespective of the language, music connects us
- It helps lower anxiety and depression
- It’s said that music enhances sleep

I agree – music enlivens, lifts our spirits. Lively or relaxing… always welcome. Apart from melancholy, who needs to have a mood lowered and saddened, not me.
Thank you for joining us on our challenge, Philo. 🙂
