Dragonflies have an incredible variety of colours and patterns, which enhances their visual appeal.

My friend, do you know that dragonflies are beneficial to humans?

They control pests like mosquitoes and biting flies that cause deadly human diseases.

Each dragonfly can consume 100 mosquitoes per day!

We are supposed to protect the dragonflies or else the entire world can be overrun with mosquitoes.

Some other important aspects of dragonflies

✔Dragonflies can fly in any direction including 360-degree turns and even backwards.

✔Dragonflies are an essential part of the freshwater ecosystem

✔They are fearsome feeding predators

✔Said to be better hunters than lions and sharks (95% success rate)

✔Dragonflies mean business when it comes to hunting for food

✔They have 30,000 lenses in the eyes, while humans have just one lens in each eye

✔They eat while in flight mode!

✔Engineers copy the aerodynamic design of Dragonfly for their projects.

✔Sadly in some parts of the world dragonflies are considered a delicacy.
