What are lakes?
Lakes are naturally occurring large water bodies surrounded by land and are larger than ponds.
They are formed by various natural processes such as glacial erosion, volcanic activity, or tectonic movements.
The ecosystem of the Earth depends on lakes because they provide homes for aquatic life.
They also serve as sources of drinking water, irrigation, and recreation for humans.
But how much importance do we give to water bodies?
My friend, the future is bleak.
Unprecedented Dam buildings and irresponsible water extraction are going on on a large scale.
Every major city is undergoing a water crisis.
There is a shortage of water at every level.
Glaciers and rivers are fast disappearing!

Are you aware of water wars?
Most of the parts of the world are water stressed.
Many conflicts happened/happening over water sharing.

Luckily we are not going to be there as witnesses by the time the major war erupts between the continents.
