Soft and sweet, these pastel hues are a treat for the eyes

Pastel colours are less saturated, also known as tints.

When mixed with white, bright colours can then be described as soft, muted, pale or light.

The image is the back side of the flower known as the canon ball tree flower, commonly known in Southern India as the Nagalinga flower or Sivalinga flower.

These trees are mostly seen in Lord Shiva temples in India.Botanical name-Couroupita guianensis

The tree is sacred to Hindus.

The fruits are spherical with a woody shell and reach diameters of up to 25 cm (9.8 in), giving the species the common name “cannonball tree”

Parts of the plant are used in traditional medicine in the treatment of high blood pressure and malaria.
