Fear sees, even when eyes are closed-Wayne Gerard Trotman

My thoughts

Being in the medical field, I constantly see people’s fear when they have health problems or the loss of a loved one. It’s quite dismal.

As we witness this, we understand human emotions better.

Though we know that health problems or death are inevitable at some stage, we fear the very thought of death.

People are also scared of the type and nature of death.

First people start wondering, sometimes they curse God, and many a time they scream why me? There can’t be a possible explanation. And that is the way of life. And you can’t argue or complain.

“Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It’s the transition that’s troublesome.”  Isaac Asimov

Our upbringing

Right from childhood we are not encouraged to talk about it.

Many elders say that they don’t mind instant death but they are scared of prolonged illness, dependency and helplessness.

“You have to treat ‘death’ like any other part of your life” Tom Sneva

Is it possible?

Much easier said than done.

How to take things easy?

“Everything that’s happening to you, is what’s supposed to be happening to you. So just relax.” Chris Martin

Don’t get scared of death!

Embrace your life, and do the best you can with your life because when it’s over..it’s really over. There is no afterlife or paradise.

“Death is not important. As long we are here, there is no death. And when death is there, we will not be here anymore.” Epicurus

“I am not afraid of death. I just don’t want to be there when it happens” Woody Allen

Thank you for your visit.
