With temperatures soaring one feels as if it has reached 41°C (105.8°F), I am sure this is a hot seat for anybody to sit in.

I don’t know the reason why this sofa is kept outside in a hot situation. Looks like some construction work is going on.

OK.

People are scared in general to be in the hot seat.

Again I am confused about the usage of the English language.

Which is correct? On the hot seat or in the hot seat?

Do you mind being in the hot seat?

Everybody wants to play safe.

When you start playing safe, remember, you are the loser!

How to manage the hot seat?
