Our bus stop
This is a bus stop.
Nothing great.
But for a photographer, it’s of some interest.
Bus stops are always exciting. Why? Because you find the people (waiting for the bus) interesting.
You notice some people turned their heads towards their left, some towards their right and at least one turned their head downwards and one watching me taking the photograph.
Even the lady in a two-wheeler and the autorickshaw in front of her are also waiting perhaps for the green signal to show up.
One thing in common is that they are all waiting
In our place, we maintain our own standard time (OST aka IST) such that nobody knows when the bus will arrive. (It’s a mystery we all enjoy and we are sick of whining)
Everybody is aware of this fact and developed plenty of patience over time.
Sadly they are unaware that their life span is getting reduced for no fault of theirs., which they could have utilized in a better way.
The Internet tells me that we spend 6 months of our lives waiting in lines.
One research said Brit will spend over two years ‘killing time’.
What about your life?
I guess we are all in a permanent ‘waiting mode’.
“People wait all week for Friday, all year for summer, all life for happiness” Unknown
Loss of precious life’s time
“How much of human life is lost in waiting?” Ralph Waldo Emerson
Agree. We waste so much of our available life’s time in pursuit of so many meaningless things.
We never realize that it’s not worthwhile waiting for that eluding happiness which we are supposed to get at any cost.
Who is listening?
How not to wait for the things?
“Misfortune always comes to those who wait.
The trick is to find happiness in the brief gaps between disasters.”

I love the quotes. So very true, time doesn’t stop and yet we wait.
Thank you Philo for taking part again.
