Golden girl
The above statue of the golden girl is located in Trocadero, Paris, France.
This statue is noticed near the Eiffel tower.
This young girl has kept her hands behind her, neck slightly bent towards her right and if your further study her face, she is staring at something.
I don’t know the significance of this particular Golden statue of the girl.
Neither we can understand what was in the mind of the artist who sculpted it.
If you have been to the Eiffel tower you have noticed that there are so many statues around.
Why do we erect statues?
I don’t know the real reason.
Some say that statues remind us of our past glorious history, emotions and cultural importance.
It’s also meant to honour the persons and also in memory of the cause, supported by them.
But I can guess that these statues can inspire the future generation for the good or bad.
Many said it can be used as a political tool.
As usual, you come across opposing forces.
We have two worlds of statues
One where sculptures are being demolished and the other where statues are being built.
Whatever may be the reason, we should all appreciate the artistic skills of the sculpture.
Statuomania-it’s obsession with erecting statues.
Can a statue be erected for a living person?
What does a statue teach us?
“What can you learn from a statue? You can learn to stay calm whatever happens!”
