If I remember correctly the above image is from the Palace of Versailles (Château de Versailles), Paris.

It’s an “Antechambre du Grand Couvert” in the queen’s grand apartment.

King XIV Louis used to take his supper in the Grand Couvert every evening surrounded by his family. The King and queen took their meals in public on selected days..

Do you love going to museums?

• Many feel it’s a waste of money and time to visit a museum.
• Some advised visiting a museum only if one is a historian or an artist or a scientist or a student of these subjects.
• A few said museum is nothing but a house full of stolen items.
• A lot expressed that a museum is a boring place, where people walk silently and circle an object yet are not in the mood to read what is written on the glass case.
• Some said that they visit museums to spend time with their girlfriends.
• Photographers show a lot of interest in taking the clicks, but sadly they miss the very essence and purpose of visiting a museum.
• Not only that, but photographers frequently lament that the strong light reflections from the glass encasing the artefacts prevent them from capturing a beautiful shot.
• External flash or tripods are prohibited in some museums disappointing the photographers.

I know during the tourist season most of the popular museums are overcrowded and it is very difficult to concentrate on museum artefacts peacefully.

Some are angry. Why?
