Cricket-Stadium

Did you any time happen to visit one of the towns in the Himalayas?

I can tell you that you sense Heaven.

The above click is part of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala (Home of HH Dalai lama), popularly called little Tibet in the Himachal Pradesh State of India.

The picturesque venue is located at an altitude of 1457 m (4780 f)above sea level, with mighty snow-capped Himalaya Mountain in the background.

The stadium was established in 2003.

It is said to be the most beautiful cricket stadium in the world.

The seating capacity is 25000.

The most beautiful aspect of the stadium is the architecture, inspired by the Tibetan-style buildings painted with vibrant colours.

Power of Himalayas

There is something about the Himalayas not possessed by the Alps, something unseen and unknown, a charm that pervades every hour spent among them, a mystery intriguing and disturbing.

Confronted by them, a man loses his grasp of ordinary things, perceiving himself as immortal, an entity capable of outdistancing all changes, all decay, all life, all death.

  1. I have always felt this, although I have never been,

Beautifully put, this expresses well the mystery surrounding the misty mountains that I have yet to see.
