Plump
I understand that fat is a synonym for the word plump.
True the term’ plump has many meanings like chubby, fat, round, stout, portly, fleshy, bulky, juicy, beefy etc.
Plump, reminded me of the present-day situation in the world.
Either you find obese people (I have mentioned the reasons for some) or underweight people.
Since we are discussing the topic ‘Plump’ let us limit our discussion to Human Belly.
Human Belly fat
Whenever we see a fat person immediately we jump to conclusion that the person overeats. Not necessarily so, the person can be obese due to hormonal problems.
Bullying people easy-peasy, by calling names.
In humans, besides the belly, fat can accumulate in the breasts, arm pits, neck region or shoulder.
Types of belly fat
Belly fat can be visceral ( accumulation of fat between the internal organs ) or subcutaneous ( fat accumulation beneath the skin )
Between these two types of fat, visceral fat accumulation is more harmful causing health complications.
Any standard measurements for belly size?
- Belly size for women should be less than 35 inches (88.9 Cms)
For guys, belly size should be less than 40 inches (101.6 Cms)
Remember you may not be overweight and you may be under false security that everything is OK, but your belly fat is the one that tells the story of the rest of your life.
What are the health problems one can get if one has excess belly fat?
- Heart diseases including heart attack
- Diabetes
- Cancer ( Breast / Colon )
- Asthma
- Dementia
Common Causes of excess Belly fat
- Junk food
- Sedentary life
- Alcohol / Smoking
- Lack of sleep
- Never-ending stress
