Without decorations, appropriate lighting, and some additional attractions, any celebration at home, at the business, during a camp, or a welcome schedule is insufficient.
The family, friends and well-wishers don’t mind spending a lot of money on numerous items to ensure that the occasion is special.
When everything is vibrant, it feels wonderful!
By this act are we adding to the pollution?
Yes.
We contribute to pollution and the destruction of the environment through our numerous operations.
My buddy, pollution becomes a problem when people congregate.
You might laugh and wonder, “How?”
Of late we are using our brains less and less.
“To think is easy. To act is difficult. To act as one thinks is the most difficult.” Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
How?
In so many ways, my friend.
People leave thrash. This thrash can be plastic cups, glass bottles and other varieties of garbage.
What about the electricity/ petrol/ diesel used?
Less said better about the noise pollution (loud music, loud noise from bursting of crackers, loudspeakers)
Believe it or not, there will be avoidable food wastage.
Again you are wondering how food wastage can damage the environment!
Just recollect for a minute. There are so many precious resources that go into making this food.
- Natural resources that are required to produce food (in the form of water and fuel) get wasted
- When food rots, it releases methane gas that is responsible for trapping heat from Sun and causing global warming
- Biodiversity is disturbed because of deforestation since land is required for agriculture to produce food.
