“Every bit of plastic ever made still exists somewhere” Unknown
I know you don’t believe this!
Many businesses claim to be transitioning to recyclable plastics.
What about advancements regarding recycling plastics?
My friend, recycling ♻ plastic is humbug for the time being and hopefully, humans will be in a positing to ban plastic successfully and totally as well as invent a recycling process that can eliminate the entire plastic subcategories.
Science has not yet developed sufficiently to recycle all types of plastics.
Not all plastic is recyclable♻
Examples include coffee cups, plastic bags, straws, keyboards etc.
An Internet search tells me there are more than 20 types of plastics.
Of these just PET & HDPE are recyclable. Other types are not that easily recycled.
Nonetheless humans are making every effort to reduce their use of plastics.
And despite widespread awareness, we claim helplessness in avoiding plastics!
It is said recycling ♻ facilities cost millions of dollars and Only highly developed countries can afford them.
PLASTICS-what’s Recyclable, what becomes thrash and why?
Are you aware of the harmful effects of plastics?
It disturbs your kid’s hormonal growth and also causes cancer.
Do you know that most of your plastic items are originated from crude oil?
Plastic pollution just not only affects human health, but it has an impact on the food chain, groundwater, air and finally Mother Nature.
Can we live without plastics?
Everybody is telling that it’s impossible in our lifetime!
I don’t know the correct answer.
What are your thoughts?

Yes, plastic: one more thing in the long list of addictions we must wean ourselves off, if we are to survive.

The world had lived for millennia before plastic was invented, and somehow survived without it. I am sure we can manage to do the same. I understand how challenging it is for many people to change the way they think about their everyday functioning, but once a conscious decision is made, it is only a matter of getting used to it.

Thank you very much, Dolly.
One thing I appreciate about people is that we all agree on the importance of relying less and less on plastics.
However, as far as I can tell, it is still in its infancy.
It’s upsetting that it might not happen in our lifetime, and our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will pay dearly.
