You live life looking forward, You understand life looking backwards-Soren Kierke

Participants for the photo challenge ‘LOOKING BACK’ have covered the topic in a variety of ways with their amazing clicks and beautiful thoughts.

I am ashamed that I am unable to live up to the expectation of the hostess Sofia Alves and others.

It’s OK.

“Unless you’re ashamed of yourself now and then, you’re not honest”
William Faulkner

Have you ever thought of this?

“The difficulty lies not in so much developing new ideas as in escaping from old ones”  John Maynard Keynes

If you just look at your closet you find the real junk right from your childhood and you always hesitate to donate it, because you think, it has got sentimental value.

What is the solution?

Think of this.

“Old is Gold, but new is Platinum” Amit

Do we need to change from old to new?

I guess the answer is yes.

True we must evolve from old to new.

Change is inevitable both in our lives and the way we think and invent things.

Change is a constant in one’s life.

While we bid goodbye to the old, we welcome the New.

What is the secret of change?

“The secret of changes is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new” Socrates

How the world is evolving especially in the computer field??

Let us take for example Disc Storage Evolution

The storage system was the bane of existence for those born before the year 2000.
People of the present generation will be banging their heads as to how the population survived those Stone Age days of magnetic tapes!!

What an evolution of the Portable storage system from a meagre 1.44 MB floppy disc to 2 TB flash drives!!

Take care, my friend.

  1. An excellent example Philo! I remember (I’m embarrassed to admit) huge rooms of mainframes with dozens and dozens of Magnetic Tape machines. I’m certain that today everything in those huge rooms could be filed on a single flash drive! Thank goodness!!!
