What is the definition of the sky?
Is it the space beyond the surface of Earth?
Is it on top of the atmosphere of the Earth? Or
It’s just the area where Earth’s gravity exists?
The sky is the limit
OK.
What is the limit of the sky in actual terms?
Is it not ironic that there is no limit to the sky itself?
Can the limitless sky be your limit?
When in your life did you feel that the sky is not the limit?
As per NASA sky is not the limit.
Some said the sky has a limit and space doesn’t have
I am as confused as you are regarding the difference between sky and space.
‘The sky is the limit’ is a common phrase, we repeatedly tell each other whenever the occasion arises.
The idea is to encourage others by conveying that there are no limits and anything is possible and one must keep trying.
It also tells one not to get disappointed by anything that happens when things are different from one’s expectations.
It can also mean negative- there is no limit to one’s own destruction.
What are my thoughts?
I feel this phrase is a bit exaggeration.
We know that in real life, each one of us has to experience certain limits.
We are also aware that there is no such thing as ‘limitless’ in our life.
Some may argue that the phrase is accurate because ‘limits’ can happen if one imposes ‘limits’ on oneself.
The definition of ‘limit’ is the maximum possible, how does the sky is the limit mean there is no limit?
Saying that ‘sky is the limit’ is like saying that the only limit is something that has no limit.
Are you confused a lot by now?
If it is so we both are sailing in the same boat.
Just chill!

Are you saying literally of figuratively? Literally everything has a limit and everyone has restraints, homo sapiens is very restricted and his abilities are finite. Figuratively, we use sky for something endless and unlimited. It’s just an idea, not necessarily a tangible reality. Spiritual world / space is above us, right? or maybe it’s below… As above, so below. Does it have the limits? Are you confused?

haha😀😀😂😂
Love your figuratively vs literally explanation.
Now figuratively my happiness has become unlimited because of your explanation.
Literally my confusion has shrunk to size zero.
No more confusion…thanks to you.

Awesome photo. I’ve never felt that the sky was the limit, or, for that matter, that there are any limits at all.

Did you give yourself a headache writing this? With all that confusion? It was challenging to concentrate while reading.
I think the limits that we impose on ourselves are sometimes too cautious as we can be frightened to push the boundaries and see where the limits are. However, if we are courageous and push ourselves, maybe there are no limits.

Your observation and comment relieved my headache and confusion.
We all agree that we put limits on ourselves because we like to be safe.
It all boils down to how far one is willing to go.
Thank you, Brenda.
