Everybody loves taking flights.
Plane Window
View from an aeroplane window is always fascinating!
Choosing the best seat is crucial for many passengers.
The majority prefer or even book a window seat.
Kids always demand a window seat while flying.
We too become kids once we have a window seat.
Nothing equals your perspective of the world from a height of several thousand feet.
Additionally, one can enjoy the excitement of a takeoff and landing.
A fun feeling indeed!
Don’t you agree?
A few detest flying!
Why?
My friend, Flying can be stressful for anybody including the seasoned traveler.
The stress can engulf you in so many ways,
Delays, Security hassles, last-minute cancellations, and unending queues.
The worst thing that can happen is that after everybody boarded the plane, the plane simply won’t move and sometimes passengers have to keep quiet and spend even two hours in the plane.
Many times they announce a change in the gate number. One has to rush along with the heavy luggage from the ground floor to the fourth floor!
For those ageing
“Old age is like a plane flying through a storm. Once you’re aboard, there’s nothing you can do” Golda Meir
Start enjoying the plane ride!
“I think it is a pity to lose the romantic side of flying and simply to accept it as a common means of transport, although that end is what we have all ostensibly been striving to attain”
Amy Johnson

Great photo. You are right, dear Philo: years ago, I loved flying, but with all the security procedures that are time-consuming and inconvenient, as well as luggage restrictions, it has become more trouble than it is worth.

Dolly, I couldn’t agree more.
It is extremely exhausting to spend so much time in the airport before and after your flight, especially if you are travelling internationally.

I don’t fly very often so when I do have the opportunity it really is an exciting adventure. I hope never to lose that excitement

True.
It’s always exciting to fly!
The only requirement is that it shouldn’t exhaust us to the point where we might need to take another vacation!!

I love watching planes, but I have no desire to rejoin the masses.
I’m one of those who does not enjoy flying, though there was a time when I never minded flying, I actually enjoyed it! Was I mad?
One complaint I have is being instructed to arrive at the airport hours earlier than is necessary simply because they don’t employ enough staff.
I dislike standing around in queues at airports for lengthy periods of time. Then there’s the plane itself – being confined in aircraft cabins with hordes of people I don’t know. It brings out the worst feelings in me and it all seems such a waste of my time when there are more enjoyable things I could be doing.
Philo, thank you, your post is perfect for our challenge. Just ignore my rant! 🙂

Oh! Nooo!
No rant at all, my friend.
As a blogger we all love rant, the lengthier the rant more informative it is!
Do you know the truth? The more we rant, the more we alert people to the same circumstances they may encounter in the future.
And glad that you are my type. I prefer travel by road than by plane.

Thank you SueW
