When you crop a photo, you tell a lie-Douglas Coupland

Question-(1)

Everybody lies

We lie both in our appearances and in our talk.

We love appearances more than anything.

We are easily deceived by appearances.

We love flattery and expect people to praise us.

Surprisingly we become close to the people who lie to us convincingly.

Sometimes we are in an extreme mood.

Either we believe or are highly suspicious.

Why things are like this?

Why such a high-intelligence creature on the earth is easily fooled or misguided?

I don’t know.

This is the puzzle and I don’t think anybody can solve it.

How to get to the bottom of the truth?

We all talk of truth.

And what is the definition of the truth? Are truth and fact the same?

Many get confused between truth & fact.

“Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth”

Marcus Aurelius

What about this quote?

“There’s a world of difference between truth and facts. Facts can obscure the truth” Maya Angelou

I am confused a lot

Is truth final or fact is final?

I was taught in school that, truth transcends all facts. The point stressed was truth can never change, unlike fact.

What about considering the belief system to be truthful? (presence of God)

I also read that fact is logic and truth is a person’s perspective.

Which is correct?

Be truthful or be factful? or both?

What are my thoughts?

I think truth can have many versions, while facts depend on the situation.

We all shade the truth and make it acceptable in a comfortable way in our lives. This invariably includes lies.

This is the question I am putting to you.

Are we all not guilty of concealing the truth in a palatable way to others thus indulging in cheating?

What are your thoughts?
