Cloth-drying

This is a picture of a WELL inside the compound.

The well seems to be covered completely with all sorts of materials and I guess either the well is dry or has not been used for a

very long time.

The fact that the supporting column, which houses the pulley in the middle, was used to dry the clothes, surprised me.

Whether it’s brilliant minds at work or a dirty habit of drying clothes above the well… and I don’t know what to call this behaviour.
