“Our life is a constant journey, from birth to death.
The landscape changes, the people change, and our needs change, but the train keeps moving.
Life is the train, not the station”
Paulo Coelho
Food for thought
What is your favorite social media platform?
Why it is your favorite?
I suspect most of you love viral videos or stories that happen to be fake.
We find very few people using the platform to create a positive change (for example -readers from wordpress.com)
Sadly negativity tends to spread faster than positive trends.
The more intense the negative information, the merrier the mind!
“You do not need to go far to see the hatred and abuse that happens online.
Even using social media is anti-social because people are always on their phones”
Ronny Chieng
The fallout of social media platform
My friend, let us blame ourselves.
“The kids are fixing their eyes on social media, and the stories they’re looking at may not be the most important things.
I’m guilty of that, too.
Do you want to look at Instagram or the news?
It’s a difficult, and weird, situation”

Brilliant. I love the Coelho quote. The train as a metaphor for life is pretty accurate… the environment is always changing.
I’m not too sure about social media, I don’t really engage with much … here on WP is probably where I’m most active … guess I’m focused on riding the train 😁

Thank you Brenda.
Glad you are not too engaged with social media and simply enjoying your journey in WordPress.

Life is on the platform and the decision to take the right train is yours. Sometimes it is better to leave your baggage behind. Thanks for joining in Philo 🙂 🙂

Thought provoking. Our generation itself wants more entertainment, passive incomes or be just lazier. How could the next generation be responsible and discipline themselves. Not the entire people but the major transitional phase I mean here. So I feel our generation people like us who look into values, writings, spending time in building us and spreading good ideas/things should inspire or help others practice more of what’s important to our life rather than wasting time.

What a lovely way to put it Ar.Jenita! Couldn’t agree more.
As Mahatma Gandhi said ‘ be the change you wish to see the world’, things should start from ourselves.
Sadly we all have double standards.
And that’s the way of life it seems.
Nobody can change anybody.
