For this Lens-Artists photo challenge, the hostess Ann Christine asked the participants to show their favourite flowers and also why they like those flowers.

The above flower is (a Heliconia flowering plant) known by the names ‘False bird of paradise‘ and ‘Lobster claw’ flower.
I love these tropical flowers as they never fail to astound and amaze us with their shapes and colours.
These plants can grow up to 15 feet (4.5 m). Leaves are glossy and green. Its thick bracts make it an excellent cut flower with a long vase life.
Heliconia Symbolism– represents youth, Pride, and Great returns.
The moment you see the flower, you feel, you are in a different world since the flower presents you with its beauty and exotic looks.
Why it’s called Lobster claw flowers?
The name “Lobster Claw” comes from the shape of its flower bracts, which resemble the shape of a lobster’s claw.
It’s also named as ‘False Bird Paradise flower’ since it resembles the original-Bird of Paradise Flower.
What is bird of paradise flower is for another day discussion.
Thank you for your visit.
Take care, my friend.
Namaste 🙏🙏🙏
