The above photograph is of stones at Giant’s Causeway a world heritage site, located on the north coast of Northern Ireland.
It’s named the 4th greatest natural wonder in the UK.
These stones are interlocking basalt columns, resulting from volcanic eruptions.
“The paradox of volcanoes was that they were symbols of destruction but also life.
Once the lava slows and cools, it solidifies and then breaks down over time to become soil – rich, fertile soil”
