What is the definition of beauty?

Each one of us comes out with our version of beauty.

Though the subject remains the same, the description of the beauty varies!

We all tend to define beauty in terms of ‘appearance’. (100%)

Sadly, those who appear beautiful are given maximum respect and admiration. Are there things, beyond this physical appearance?

Is it possible to establish what beauty is?

The word beauty is used in many different contexts.

Do you have any yardstick?

I am not sure.

We are aware of the phrase beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

What you think is ugly can be beautiful to someone else.

My assumption is the phrase is not totally true.

My friend, beauty has two components, objective and subjective.

✔Objective beauty

Includes both external and internal.

External-This beauty is a permanent one.

It doesn’t depend on age. Beauty is simply there waiting to be discovered (for example- Mother Nature). In this situation human opinions are irrelevant. Here beauty is standard. My friend, this beauty is determined by God.

Internal-(Inner beauty)- This beauty you can’t see but feel.

The internal aspects of beauty (which again depends purely on Divine mercy) include being truthful, no lies, no manipulation, being kind, compassionate, supportive, genuine, loyal and honest to oneself and others.

This beauty is experienced through a person’s character rather than by appearance.

Inner beauty helps to build a bond between people.

✔Subjective beauty

it’s purely dependent on external factors and temporary!

It is dependent on the human being. The phrase ‘beauty in the eyes of the beholder suits well in this situation. This subjective beauty can change from time to time or on different occasions (ageing). This resulted in beauty becoming a billion-dollar industry.

To appear beautiful, you are depending on the ‘Beauty making industry’ and trying to appease someone. It is nothing but a mask that can melt soon. So, your beauty in the eyes of some beholder is just for a short time.

How to find beauty?

It’s easy, but nobody likes this idea.

Why do people admire beauty so much?

I don’t know.

My guess is when somebody starts admiring somebody or something…then they begin to talk of beauty.

Do you admire your beauty?

This is not a million-dollar question.

Of course, you all admire your beauty in the form of your external appearance.

Very rarely you come across people hating themselves because everyone said that they are ugly in looks (Physical appearance).

We never look into our inner beauty.

Why?

Because we are scared of the truth that most of us don’t even possess inner beauty.

Finally What is the true definition of beauty?
