GIFTS
Everybody loves gifts being presented to them on various occasions irrespective of age.
Yet we may come across people who are least interested in receiving gifts.
Kids can never resist gifts.
Kids eagerly wait for their birthdays or Christmas day since they are pampered and given gifts.
‘Gifts’ are also given in expectation of favour
These days it has become a norm.
Modern day ‘Thanksgiving’ includes an exchange of ‘gifts’ honouring each other.
I understand that ‘thanksgiving’ is the occasion to thank for everything in one’s life, especially in the family and only ‘food’ is exchanged.
But the retail industry is not lagging and making a kill in the name of ‘thanksgiving’ (Black Fridays are very popular and said to be one of the busiest shopping days of the year). I may be wrong. Correct me if it is so.
Why it’s called Black Friday sales? Readers can help me understand the ‘BLACK’ part of the sales.
Do you find time to express gratitude for all the things in your life?
I know you do find time twice a year.
- On Thanksgiving Day.
- Whenever you are in deep s**t and Almighty readily solves your problems unasked.
“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it”
William Arthur Ward
‘Gift’ in our life
“The meaning of life is to find your gift.
The purpose of life is to give it away”
William Shakespeare
