Feel good Friday!

Feel-good-friday!

Today is Friday! Whoo-hoo!

And we are so excited that we have almost caught that forever eluding ‘happiness’.

Is not so?

We all long for the weekend

Because it’s the end of the official week and we all love to enjoy Saturday & Sunday by spending time with our loved ones.

It’s also a kind of freedom from all the work-related tensions and anxieties.

This is known as the weekend effect.

People from all strata of society are influenced by this weekend effect.

Are you one of them?

What happens on Fridays?

Fridays are the happiest day of the week.

The rest of the days are described as hectic and some even telling ‘boring’.

Fridays are said to bring positive moods.

How do you spend your weekends, my friend?

And there can be a billion answers to this question.

A few plan their weekends meticulously.

Many are not sure how it’s going to be.

A few take things easy and do what they love to do.

It’s up to anybody as to how to lead their life on these two days.

Some said they keep themselves busy by finishing the pending tasks.

Senior citizens said they spend time on religious activities and get peace of mind.

How about you my friend?

Are your weekend schedules fixed or variable?

As far as I am concerned, I do nothing but enjoy my food.

“Friday is my second favourite F word. Food is my first” Unknown

But as my age advances, my thoughts are more towards spirituality.

Here I wish to express the fact that many people feel that spirituality and religion are the same things.

I just want to emphasise that you can be spiritual without being religious.

Are you a weekend-alcoholic?

Weekends remind a few people about alcohol.

Here the person eagerly waits for this day to have a binge drink.

Drinking alone can become a habit.

I have come across people who binge drink waiting for that ‘buzz’.

How do you describe the ‘BUZZ’?

What is your experience and what are your thoughts when you think you are almost nearing the ‘buzz’?

God alone knows when that ‘buzz’ appears and if it appears…how long it’s going to stay?

What about the health consequences? Who cares! Hell with the health!

My friend, binge drinking is bad for health and this habit can bring out a different side of you.

Chances are that you can embarrass your near and dear.

Sadly alcohol is used as a reward, I mean you say you deserve a drink because you just finished a project successfully.

Have you waited till Friday to achieve happiness?

If so you are missing something important in your life.

“Stop waiting for Friday,

for summer,

for someone to fall in love with you, for life.

Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for it and make the most of the moment you are in now.”

Wishes for you

By the time you read this post, Friday is coming to an end in Eastern Hemisphere and people are readying for the real treat.

“Wishing you all a happy Friday.

Forget about all bad things, your troubles and the drama others have brought into your life.

Enjoy today and look forward to a weekend full of smiles” unknown

Thank you for your visit.

Take care, my friend.

Namaste 🙏🙏🙏

  1. Loved this Philo. Hadn’t heard of the Weekend Effect, but not surprised that Friday feeling has a name. For me, working from home today, it was the pleasure of closing down the work laptop and putting it away for the weekend. I dont work from home every day but it always feels special on a Friday to be able to start the weekend immediately and not need the commute home.
As for the weekend … this weekend I plan to relax, watch TV, read and work on my blog. I’ll also fit in a few walks through our local park

    Have a great weekend Philo
