I have come across this wall painting adjacent to a textile shop.
I am not an artist and naturally, I try to understand what exactly the above wall art is trying to convey to ordinary folks like me.
I think Albert Camus is correct.
I see two ladies may be seminude surrounded by a few flowers.
Now it is your turn to guess and guide me on what exactly this painting means to you.
Do you agree with Pablo Picasso’s quote?
“Everyone wants to understand art. Why not try to understand the song of a bird?
Why does one love the night, flowers, and everything around one, without trying to understand them?
But in the case of a painting people have to understand.
If only they would realize above all that an artist works of necessity, that he himself is only a trifling bit of the world, and that no more importance should be attached to him than to plenty of other things which please us in the world, though we can’t explain them.
People who try to explain pictures are usually barking up the wrong tree.”
Pablo Picasso
Thank you for your visit.
Take care, my friend.

Indeed! Art is a means to communicate. If a photo “talks” to me – great. If I just enjoy looking at a picture – great. If the artist manages to get a “message” to me – great. Why should it matter what the artist actually thought or even tried to communicate? What difference does it make what it says to others?

Wow!
What a wonderful way you analysed.
As long as one is able to enjoy any form of art…who cares!
Thank you my friend for this lovely explanation.

I have to agree with Picasso! There are so many things in life we can’t understand but enjoy. My husband and I were just talking about the meaning of “grace.” The definition he read said, “Grace is hard to define.” LOL I think we delve into the meaning of those things we enjoy the most or attach the most importance to. Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece of art. I’m going to just enjoy it. 🙂

A perfect analysis of life!
I laughed a lot for the definition of ‘Grace’.
Thank you Marsha.
