COCONUT CLIMBER
Some professions are associated with risk.
Risk to one’s life.
They are strong-willed people.
Coconut Pluckers
In the image above you notice the coconut tree climber busy plucking the coconuts.
Coconut tree height can range from 80 feet to 100 feet (24 to 100 meters).
Here the person uses a rope harness wrapped around his feet and another rope wrapped around his body- as climbing support.
Are these people not scared of heights?
Are they not scared of falling?

I admire these people since they help pluck the coconuts and also remove the weak and dried leaves from the tree, which can avoid accidents.
Coconuts or the leaves falling from the tree on an unwary person can result in injury to the head, back or shoulder.
It’s said that falling coconuts kill approximately 150 people worldwide-Death by coconut

Great photos. Here nobody climbs coconut palms; they have special tools on long poles to cut them down.

Thank you Dolly.
Here too special equipments are available and they are used for a mass scale plucking.
We come across these traditional coconut pluckers in villages.
