“To believe with certainty we must begin with doubting”
Stanislaus I of Poland
What is that Stanislaus trying to convey?
He says, to be certain you have to be doubtful!
First of all, if you decided to believe in something, why should you be doubtful or apprehensive?
Are you not sure of yourself?
Is this a contradictory statement or it is a perfect statement?
Doubt & Belief in brief
“Doubt is the blank parts of the canvas which is being filled with the colour of belief” Mark Sayers
Some answer at last
“We should be unafraid to doubt.
There is no believing without some doubting, and believing is all the more robust for having experienced its doubts.
Khalil Gibran put it beautifully, “Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his twin brother.” I like that.
If doubts are not the opposite of faith, we can be a bit more open and honest about them with ourselves, others, and God”
Justin Holcomb
Do you think it’s too much to understand?

Where does doubt come from– our emotions, logic, life experiences, perception? If doubting helps me make a more informed decision (through reflection, education, contemplation), then I am for it. If it keeps me from taking risks and experiencing life, then I have no need for it!

I think if you want to learn the truth about something, you have to start questioning yourself and what you know about it.

Exactly.
But humans are expert Skeptics.
People are busy fighting rather clearing their doubts.
Thank you my friend for your wonderful thoughts.
