A butterfly says, “The caterpillar-me is history,
My metamorphosis, a mystery,
And today is a present, my struggle gifted me”
Manali Oak
I saw this butterfly in the garden.
It’s known by the name Common Mormon
When it alights on the flowers, it continues to flap its forewings rapidly whilst its hindwings are kept relatively still (I found this unusual).
Probably Lepidopterologists can help me.
It was very very difficult to click with a camera phone because it was constantly flying and even when it sat on a flower, it never stopped flapping its wings.
( It’s said butterfly flaps its wings approximately 20 times per second)
My God! This one was flapping its wings non-stop, I doubt whether DSLR cameras with the fastest shutter speed can do the wonder.
I did try burst mode with my One Plus 6 cellphone camera, and I could pull just one click out of so many, which was OK to be posted.
I used Topaz Mask AI to slightly desaturate the background so that the butterfly stands prominently.
Thank you for your visit.
Take care, my friend.

Good job on thinking to use the burst mode. I also like the processing to desaturate the background. Nice work, Philo!
