Beyond the mountains, more mountains-Haitian proverb

Layers-of-mountains

“Only if you’ve been in the deepest valley, can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain”

Unknown

Do you understand the Haitian proverb?

At first, I did not understand the meaning of the proverb.

I know that there are mountains beyond the first mountain.

Nothing new about this observation.

Then what is the proverb is trying to convey?

I am aware that proverbs are based on traditional sayings which express a perceived truth based on experience and one can’t ignore them.

An Internet search quickly revealed the meaning.

It’s is something to do with our life

In life, we are faced with problems of many natures.

And most of us try to solve our problems.

And at one stage we realize that the problems keep on coming one after another without an end.

What exactly happening?

In the above image, you can notice that there are 4 layers of mountains⛰ ⛰ ⛰ ⛰

Thus our problems are arranged in layers throughout our life.

Once we successfully destroy the first layer, the next layer is readily waiting to be overcome.

The layer ends when death happens.

Simply put, the problem never ends, one is solved …new problems arise.

My friend, it’s a vicious circle.

So don’t be serious. Take it easy!

Any other encouraging thoughts from the proverb?

Yes.

One can also derive a positive meaning.

It can also mean that…opportunities are plenty and you have a never-ending choice.

And don’t get depressed if you could not utilize the one opportunity you had.

Many more to come.

Adversities can strengthen you, boosting your confidence.

Message

My friend, life is a journey.

Embrace this journey.

Don’t get disheartened because of the obstacles, and remember…all the experiences you gain over time are just to guide you and thus make you successful in completing your journey!

Thank you for your visit.

Take care, my friend.

Namaste 🙏🙏🙏
