“One of the greatest titles in the world is parent, and one of the biggest blessings in the world is to have parents to call mon and dad” Jim Demint
Do you agree with the above quote?
Don’t you think it’s one-sided?
What about the childless couple?
Just food for thought.
Thank you for your visit.
Take care, my friend.

You definitely made us think on this one. Maybe ONE is the clue.
I do love being a mom and grateful to still have my parents.
A friend, and/or a confident, might be others. Donna

It’s all up to the individual, I guess.

I cannot help but feel sorry for childless couples who are deprived of the greatest joy in life.

It’s true.
But I understand that z generation and millennials have a different opinion.
In India we hear a lady married herself which is described as sologamy or self marriage.
These people say they can lead a happier life.

I know they have a different opinion; nonetheless, I feel sorry for them.
Please explain to me the logic behind sologamy.

The exact purpose of this self-marriage… I don’t know.
But every situation can have a logic available readily.
I understand it’s commonly undertaken by women.
They say it is the only way to get rid of all the problems that women face while possessing multiple titles (mother, daughter, sister, wife, lover etc).
In other words, no responsibilities and so no worries and one is in a position to pamper oneself endlessly.
I Understand that the ‘Sex and City’ TV serial had one such character.
Are we influencing the TV serial shows or are these shows influencing us?
Thank you, Dolly.

I do not watch TV and thus am unfamiliar with TV serials. I suspect we can get into a deep discussion about the purpose of marriage in different religions and cultures, but this idea seems to me the essence of narcissism, and narcissism is a disorder, as we have already discussed.

It never struck to me this particular category is eligible to be put under Narcissism.
Thank you Dolly.
