Who are garbage men?

The garbage man is also known by other names-waste collectors, trashmen or dustman/binmen.

Whenever we come across a garbageman cleaning the area and collecting all the trash, our face turns into disgust because of the stench. Many develop nausea.

We just want to move away from the place as quickly as possible.

We are scared of rats, pungent odour and diseases.

We never go out and express our thanks to these guys.

We forget that these people are doing one of the most dangerous jobs on the planet.

Garbage people help us by managing waste and serve a vital role in our society.

I can’t imagine how our locality looks if these dedicated people are absent even for a single day!

Simply put they make the world a better place.

So next time you happen to see them, just wave your hands in appreciation of their work.

Global Garbage Man Day

Global garbage man-day is celebrated on June 17 th annually.

On this day, thank your local garbage men and women for keeping you and the environment safe.

But sadly these great people are looked down on by society.

They are not given due respect.

Many times we hear people telling us this or that job is beneath them.

Remember…

Do you remember your mom wiping your shit when you were a toddler? Did you accuse her of doing the menial job?

Man, it’s a dirty job but someone’s gotta do it.

Are you aware of the ‘Garbage of a different kind’?

We all suffer because of this particular garbage.

They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger and 

Full of disappointment.

As their garbage piles up they look for a place to dump it.

And if you let them, they will dump it on you.

So when someone wants to dump on you, don’t take it personally.

Just smile, wave, wish them well and move on.
